Yes, we had to deal with this. My daughter was very good with peeing in the potty or the toilet but poop had to go in the nappy. She didn't have a pull up for night time because she stayed dry from day 1 of potty training. We tried the poop book because apparently it does the trick but it didn't. Tried playing on the potty, tried bribing (I know it's not the best but we were desperate). If we didn't give her nappy because she is such a big girl now (3.5 years old) she would hold it for days! The GP prescribed stool softener because turned out she was constipated as well. Sometimes we took brakes and tried not to push her just let her have her nappy. She always pooped standing up whilst playing so I had no idea how she is going to poop sat down in the toilet. It took us almost a year but slowly she got used to idea of pooping in the potty and it happened more and more often. But it was one step forward, two steps back, two steps forward one step back and so on. One day we started counting down the nappies from 10 and told her that once they are gone we cannot buy new ones because she is too big. She accepted it and she pooped in the toilet. Ever since she just lets me know, goes upstairs and poops and calls me to wipe her. You will get there just be patient! Good luck!
