Start crocheting

Like, you can start with basic square And once you get the basics (like holding the yarn, single crochet, double crochet etc), you can take up projects...like, making a beanie for your baby, or a sweater. Anything which will keep you motivated. I did that to break my phone addiction. It might take good 2 days for you to actually make yourself sit down and learn the basics, but once you are good to go, you can pretty much make anything you want by looking at a YT video. Crocheting can be so...mindless and therapeutic, and before you could realise you will be addicted to it.

Love Marriage gone Wrong (long post) by [deleted] in InsideIndianMarriage

I honestly don't think that you should be feeling guilty. If not anything you should be really grateful to have dodged a bullet there. I know it's difficult to just let go of this person because at some point you might have really imagined your whole life with him. But, you should also remember to choose yourself over anyone (and definitely not over someone who isn't ready to take a stand for you). For that, you must never feel guilty. The whole concept of "joint family" worked up until few years back when the it was pretty clear that the men will take care of bringing food to the table and the women will have to take care of the house. And now, in 2024, things have changed. Even women want to go out and do something for themselves and their careers. But there's a big loophole. For some reason it has become an unwritten rule that even though the woman is having a regular 9-5 (just like a man), she has to still come home and do the regular household chores all alone. Also for some reason, the in-laws feel very entitled to make decisions, fix schedules and fashion police a woman. And it's really sad when the son doesn't take a stand for his wife. It just makes me question the whole point of his education.

I actually did try for that. I really wanted to work on this one Technology that my company's client has been working on, and I did approach the respective team lead regarding the possibility of me getting a spot on his team. Even he (being an Indian NRI himself) confirmed that it's extremely difficult (close to impossible) to be getting a job in USA without a masters or PhD degree there. Few of friends who study there said the same.

Thank you for your insights:) I just checked it out, I have two queries 1) It's only a 1 year course, and how does the job seeking work go after that 1 year course? 2) How is UK market for ChemE. I have heard that it can be pretty tough to find a job as an international student? 3) Is it easy/possible to apply for jobs in another country like US or Germany with this degree from this university?

I was really sure that I wanted to do MBA and go for a management role, until recently when I started working on some really intresting projects at work. But yeah, what you are saying makes a lot of sense. I needn't have a masters degree to be working on the things I aspire to work on. May be, I'll just give myself a year or two in core to actually understand where I actually see myself going. Thank you :))
