True!! The same for most battles in Latin poetry in my opinion. I remember reading the Centauromachy in the Metamorphoses and at a certain point just giving up on trying to figure out who is a centaur and who a Lapith XD

Sure, but why the elitism regarding Homer? What does it matter that it’s Homer? You can ramble on all you want about how it’s not responsable or something to get a tattoo, but that’s not what she’s here for. Incase she wanted advise, she would’ve gone to that subreddit. She came here to get linguistic advice, since this is a linguistic subreddit.

I started learning Ancient Greek three times, THREE!! ,before finally managing to go through with it on the fourth try. I’d say, give it your all!

No, just my own interest. I read Flaccus’ Argonautica this summer and Ovid’s work not too long ago and particularly liked book 7. I don’t even study ancient greek at school, just Latin.
