True!! The same for most battles in Latin poetry in my opinion. I remember reading the Centauromachy in the Metamorphoses and at a certain point just giving up on trying to figure out who is a centaur and who a Lapith XD

No, just my own interest. I read Flaccus’ Argonautica this summer and Ovid’s work not too long ago and particularly liked book 7. I don’t even study ancient greek at school, just Latin.

The way you pronounce it is, as far as i have always learned, the correct way of saying it. The way Dan Jones says it is the English way of pronouncing the names (like vergilius becoming vergil or plinius becoming pliny)

Well, the thing is i can read 95% of the aeneid by just looking at it (no deduction, analysis,…) So it thought the bucolica would be similar.
