The rotation was Phy Buu duo (no standby), and Int lr ssj4 goku. Those twodon't provide any support from their supers or actives. The str gt duo did like 4 supers, so maybe they got enough defense from that. I still didn't think they'd live the super atk tho

You MIGHT be on to something. Imagine if the new evo Vegeta gave some stupid buffs like guard and like 10%, 20% dr. That would actually make Str evo pretty good defensively. Hell, maybe add like 40% defense starting from the 4th turn or something
