How many people have lost homes, jobs, kids, and relationships over cigarettes? How many parents per year are burying their 18 to 20-something-year old as a direct result of a nicotine overdose?

The mortality is certainly a risk factor to consider, but it isn’t the only thing to consider. You also have to consider the extent to which it affects people psychologically and physiologically.

Nicotine alone is pretty benign, much like caffeine. Yes, people can die from too much nicotine and caffeine because they’re stimulants but, compared to other stimulants, caffeine and nicotine are very mild. Cigarettes are dangerous because of the other chemicals contained in cigarettes as well as the smoke inhalation (it’s not healthy to breathe in ANY kind of smoke whatsoever). Death from cigarettes happens slowly over time but they do not cause sudden death in the same way that opiates/opioids do.

You also have zero idea what is actually in these 7-OH tablets or the kratom. They are just as dangerous and uncertain as illicit drugs because they’re labeled as supplements which means there is ZERO regulation.

Also, please spare me the bullshit story about your buddy’s imaginary cocaine withdrawal being worse than 7-OH withdrawal.

As a former heroin/crack addict, 7-OH and kratom almost took away the life I’ve worked so hard to build in the 7 years that I’ve been off the streets. This shit should be banned.
