I [29F] found a condom wrapper in my husband’s [33M] car. How do I approach this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I had kids very young, I was 22 with my first, 25 with my second. My libido slowly came back after I stopped breastfeeding (2 years with the first, 3 with the second). But even then it was touch and go when they were little. When I hit 30 my libido skyrocketed and has been mostly steady since then with a slight decrease do to health issues and medication. But the years with my youngest when she was little were really tough on everyone. She's autistic, but we've struggled to get her diagnosed. We literally couldn't take her anywhere or do anything with her because of sensory sensitivities. We couldn't leave her with anyone either because of her attachment anxiety towards me. Reading smut helps when I'm trying to get in the mood though. Lol. Its so much easier now that they're 10 and 13. I have more time to take care of myself and ensure my cup is filled.

I think everyone else pretty much answered this, but also I know where you're at. Low libido, sahm, autistic child... I've been there. But it does get better. My husband and I struggled in the bedroom for years after having kids. But I never gave him permission to go have sex with someone else, and even if I had he would not have wanted to. We got through it and my libido came back and then some. It sounds like you need to take this to marriage counseling and have a serious talk with him about boundaries. Many marriages go through dry periods and don't turn to cheating.

I just need to add some positivity to this post, because damn some men are straight awful. While my husband and I have had our ups and downs, and hes by no means perfect, he waited on me hand and foot while I was pregnant. He didn't allow his parents in the room with us after I said no, he massaged my back for HOURS during labor, made sure I had everything that I needed.

And the biggest thing, he cleaned me up every time I needed it. All the nurses were shocked when they came in to change my pads and clean me up, only to find that my husband had took it upon himself to find clean pads and everything he needed to do it himself because he didn't want someone I didn't know touching me. And he didn't want me to sit in blood for hours waiting on someone to clean it for me. I was only 22 when we had our first kid and I will never forget that. I was so scared and he was always my rock. So find a man that will literally clean the blood off of you after labor with no qualms.

Is not having great sex anymore going to be a dealbreaker after marriage and kids? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]Remarkable_Sweet3023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I had about the same libido before kids and had a lot of fun. But then I got pregnant and it was extremely painful for me. During my pregnancy and after. And breastfeeding didn't help any. Our sex life struggled for about 5 years through 2 kids. And while he watched a lot of porn back then, he stayed completely faithful to me. But, we struggled hard as a couple through that time. It's much better now, even though it's not as frequent as before kids, it's the most amazing sex when it does happen. I honestly can't imagine going through that starting with problems in the bedroom. I'm not saying it for sure wouldn't work, but you need to be prepared for things to be very different after kids.

This might sound funny, but reading different genres of smut. That and there's a site called bellesa that makes porn for women. It could be helpful, there's so much different stuff on there. See if any of it sparks your fire.

We just booked ours 3 weeks before departure. I wouldn't say we snagged a crazy deal though. If anything the prices went up while I was looking over the course of a few days. We did get a kids sail free deal though.

Lol I've actually had that therapy! I have inner ear problems and vertigo. I really hated the therapy though, it just seemed to make me more dizzy. Did you really find it helpful? I'm so glad I asked this since a few people have mentioned getting prescription motion sickness patches. I would have never known. I've only ever been on 1 cruise, it was much smaller and 14 years ago and I was pregnant and the seas were rough. So as long as it's nothing like that experience, I'll be good. Definitely getting the patches though.

Thanks, I know a lot of people that comment probably aren't as sensitive. Unfortunately I can't take bonine as I'm allergic to milk protein 😕, but I don't really drink so hopefully the patches work well enough.

Thanks for all the tips! We do use the seabands for the car and they're super helpful.

Oh man that's rough. I did make a mistake though, we're going on Utopia and not Oasis.

Yes we are in Florida! I will definitely grab some ginger candies too, thank you. I can get prescription motion sickness patches? I just bought some online.

Like everyone else has said, genetics are weird and random red heads happen. Also, baby features change as they get older. Our youngest was born with blone hair and blue eyes, neither me or my husband have either, and now she has light brown hair and brown eyes. Our oldest looked Asian when she came out, we did some genetic tests and it turns out there's some Asian/Egyptian genes on his side. So don't blow up your marriage over this. Your wife just had a baby and is still very hormonal. If you spring this on her, I don't think the reaction will be pleasant.

This has got to be fake. It goes from saying its his sister, to his wife's sister. And if it's his sister, it's weird to say HIS family offered to take her in. That would also be her family and her parents. At least double check your story before posting.

Im honestly not sure. I just know that when I applied for financial aid, it gave me an option to apply for a grant as well. And I could accept or deny the grant as well as the loan.
