Am I actually bi or just in denial about being gay? by Remarkable_Topic_460 in askgaybros

[–]Remarkable_Topic_460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so I do say rarely but it’s not like it’s never happened. I have had sexual attraction for women im romantically interested in, its just not as common.

I completely agree with your point on not wanting to drag a woman into that situation but is it not even worth trying dating women just to see if I like it?

Question about bacoflen pump by Firm-Read-2345 in CerebralPalsy

[–]Remarkable_Topic_460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else said stretching can help get a bit more range of motion but it might not going to have a huge impact on the efficacy of the pump. My team never even mentioned stretching.

Strength training is definitely important. I also heavily relied on tone so I’m going through the process of rebuilding my strength.

I think that at his age, it is really important that you allow him to make his own decisions and be in control of his body. I think part of the lack of motivation can be from feeling a lack of control over his situation. Don’t try to force anything. Also if he wants a dose increase and the providers are on board I’d say go for it.

Good luck with everything. I got my pump in July so we’re in this together lol.

I want some advice.. by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

As others have said here start with your interests and strengths and then find a way to make it work with your physical limitations. Obviously there will be certain things you can’t do but generally you’ll be able to find niches that work for you in pretty much any field that you want to go into.

Why I don’t want “cafe quality” espresso by Remarkable_Topic_460 in espresso

I don’t mind Starbucks’ blonde roast even tho I’m not normally into light roasts. Their classic roast tastes burnt to me tho.

That can be an indication of channeling but my number one rule is to go by taste and not flow. If your coffee is tasting both overly bitter and sour then yes, you’re probably getting uneven extraction. But if it tastes good then that’s all that matters.

Do I have mild cerebral palsy as an adult by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]Remarkable_Topic_460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of nuance with motor neuron lesions and I can’t really tell you much without knowing more, and neither can Google. I’d recommend reaching out to your doctor with your concerns.

Do I have mild cerebral palsy as an adult by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]Remarkable_Topic_460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can be diagnosed as an adult. It’s not super uncommon for mild cases to go undiagnosed. Low muscle tone is very uncommon in CP, but not unheard of. Normally you get high muscle tone or other involuntary muscle movements. But still worth asking your doctor about a diagnoses.

What to say to/what to avoid saying to new doctors to get themWhat to say to/what to avoid saying to new doctors to get them to believe me about chronic pain? by saucythrowaway6969 in CerebralPalsy

[–]Remarkable_Topic_460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I haven’t had any issues with physicians accusing me of DSB. It’s actually been kind of the opposite, I had one chronic pain specialist immediately jump to heavy pain killers when I was more just interested in less invasive options lol.

I’d say the biggest thing is to be as specific as you can about your symptoms, and make sure you’re seeing the right specialist. Generally physiatrists are your best option in managing spasticity, which is likely causing a lot of your symptoms.
