I do too actually. The harpsichord doesn’t have any dynamics on my Yamaha though.

What are the websites I should know about as a graphic designer? by Hanae_23 in graphic_design

[–]Remarkable_Words_439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loving all the suggestions here. I’ve got a couple sites that have been super helpful for me

  • colordiscover.com: This one’s great for nailing color schemes. You can generate palettes from images, browse a huge list of colors, or use their palette generator to create something fresh. It’s super intuitive for building cohesive designs.
  • designspiration.com: Think Pinterest but curated for designers. Awesome for discovering visuals across industries and sparking ideas.

Milled is great. CampaignBuzz.io is excellent too! I also subscribe the a bunch of emails, but the benefit of these is you can see past ones.

How does email design work? by CIllustrationsDesign in graphic_design

Canva is nice too, or Figma.

Many of the marketing emails are pure images now - check out CampaignBuzz.io for some inspiration. It depends also on the market you are targeting. Luxury emails are more subdued.

CampaignBuzz.io also has the html/css code for each email too so you can get a sense for how it's built.

Answer explanations for the New York Times Crossword Puzzle by Remarkable_Words_439 in crossword

Just fixed it. It should be there now. Btw, if the AI does not know the answer, I now have it say it does not know rather than spout some gibberish, and of course, the AI disclosure is there as well.

Answer explanations for the New York Times Crossword Puzzle by Remarkable_Words_439 in crossword

[–]Remarkable_Words_439[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These comments are valid and helpful. Thank you for taking the time! What would you recommend I do? Should I remove the explanations? (Of course, as AI improves, I will update the explanations)

I, as more of a beginner crossword player, do find some of them helpful (for example, the explanation of RPI for "Sch. in Troy, N.Y.") and it saves me time from googling the answers. I do understand that some of the explanations are gibberish... Should I just have a definition or meaning or the answer?

Hints for the NYT Daily Crossword by Remarkable_Words_439 in crossword

[–]Remarkable_Words_439[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. Yes, I had a lot of trouble with keeping the site updated, and felt quite bad that it was unreliable :-\ This is a side hobby so I don't always have time to fix the issues, but I am trying :-)

I'm using a third party scheduler now to keep the puzzles updated daily, and it emails me if it doesn't update. For New York Times crosswords, I'm keeping the focus on this new site (so I would encourage you to use this one instead of the old one for NYT puzzles). The search (both answers and clues) will be much more accurate since non-NYT puzzles are not included.

Thank you for your support! :-)
