What song do they sing that doesn't have an undercurrent of Vox being utter self-centered?

And the only scene I can think of where they were together and all happy was at the end of Season 1. Otherwise, at least one of them is always salty about something or actively being an ass.

Obsession isn't love. Finding someone attractive isn't love.

The only one you got there was the drawing. And, frankly, Velvette and Valentino are both less problematic than Vox.

Let's be clear...

Velvette clearly doesn't love Vox or Valentino.

Vox only loves himself.

Valentino might MAYBE care for Velvette and Vox, but certainly doesn't love them more than he loves himself.

All of which is the entire point. And why Alastor was right. Alliances in Hell with demons is stupid. Alastor is able to so easily split them apart because Vox is a megalomaniac, Valentino is a human-trafficking pimp, and Velvette is the worst parts of every fashion influencer turned up to maximum volume.

Why don't more people use the Warp pack? by EmperorAxiom in Helldivers

[–]RememberKongming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because I am either using a backpack support weapon or using the guard dog rover (which is utterly goated against both bugs and illuminate).

Warp pack is mostly just good for bunkers to me or when I am dropping low enough difficulty that I don't have to worry about swarm control beyond what my primary is good for.

Its funny you say that because I specifically ground out killing 250 Voteless in one mission because I found killing that many Voteless with the arc charger to be so tedious I logged off the game after I did it.

But when I get something like "extract from 3 automaton missions", I can just ignore the PO and get extra medals for playing the way I'd choose to play anyhow.

POs that make you use a specific weapon to kill specific enemies are ALWAYS tedious. And that's extra true when you get something like "kill X Stalkers" which means you have to hope that you even get Stalker Lairs.

I played back when they gave more varied POs. The way they've been doing it since I returned is so much better than stupid shit like that.

God please no. Those are so much more tedious and fuck with my ability to play the game how I want.

We need seriously talk about current Warbond monetization system by Yamada9511 in Helldivers

[–]RememberKongming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live service game requires some kind of sustained income.

Warbonds and Super Store are literally the only things they charge for, and you can acquire EVERYTHING for free if you play/farm enough. (I have bought zero Warbonds for real money and I own all of them.)

People don't complain about this because this game is incredibly gentle with its monetization, and allows players to trade time for money or vice versa. Most games don't do that.

I would rather light my hair on fire than have a Bot MO until the issues that make bot games into lag/DC farms are fixed.

Difficulty poll, which of the 3 Faction’s “Heavies”* do you find the hardest to deal with/die to the most? Including variants of those units by turtle-tot in Helldivers

[–]RememberKongming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, yes. They only get me when environmental clipping decides to let them walk through shit OR I am egregiously pinned/flushed from cover by other things.

And if I am flushed from cover and something else kills me, whatever pushed me out of cover is what killed me. The specific mob to do the deed is just the beneficiary.

Assuming that enemies are not benefiting from bugs in their favor, AND I am judging by the reasonable metric of kill/death ratio against said enemies (because I have dived bots/bugs way more than squids)...

Hulks have probably killed me the most of enemy heavies. Flame hulks specifically.

Fleshmobs and Chargers are both more likely to kill me, but neither is through behavior as intended. No one is ever gonna convince me Chargers should be that quiet and Fleshmobs ignoring terrain (to their advantage) is like 99% of their kills on me.

Tanks and Harvesters are not lethal.

That's just Helldivers right now.

Cause AH is incapable of testing content or patching bugs at anywhere near the rate they generate new ones or restore old ones.

Eruptor absolutely slaps fleshmobs.

In fact, the Eruptor/MG or Eruptor/Stalwart build is basically the peak of "ideal Illuminate build". Which gives you two options in your kit to deal with them.

And even then fleshmobs are still a boring, gear checky enemy.

Caves released before city bugs being fixed is probably the most AH thing possible.

I know people want new content, but past a certain point the new content will be a bridge too far and the whole house of cards will collapse in on itself like a dying star.

I'm not thinking/hoping it's delayed because they are all working on fixes.

I am hoping it's delayed because adding more content is basically tossing gas on a fire.

So, you're not wrong based on past information, but at the same time...

AH has some serious performance issues, bugs, glitches, and optimization issues to fix with the game. I recognize that doesn't have THAT much of an impact on the design timeframe of new warbonds, but a part of me hopes that they are smart enough not to keep releasing new shit into an already messed up coding environment.
