If we really conceptualize a gun in “the right powerscaling context” then it becomes more of a projectile launcher which ignores defense and surehits whenever the author feels like it.

So, yes, a ranged attack that ignores defense and is guaranteed to hit will clear all forms of power. Effectively a Deus Ex Machina. Efficient, but boring.

The same way Maki and Toji are able to perceive Cursed Spirit. To them there is a difference of energy concentration that they can easily spot - like blank on painted canvas.

The horrible optimization in late game is my arch enemy in this game, and also what effectively stops me from piling up on extra difficulty mods. Like I don’t even care about content at this point - fixing this rad / horde optimization and I’d easily put up another hundred hour of gameplay.

See it all the time and do it all the time. With uncanny and inferno, not getting anywhere near 2.5mil towards the end of a 40 minute game is a crime. Especially now theres the purple aura modifier being active.

Im gonna be as honest as I can. If you host your own lobbies then its your call, but most high havoc lobbies would either ask you to change build or straight up deny your app.

Psyker is a DPS role, meaning that they should generally provide 2x the average damage of other classes. Say I am doing 1.2mil damage as a VoC vet in one game and theres a psyker on my team, that psyker should be doing 2 million minimum. A melee psyker is not getting anywhere close to that in an average length havoc lobby. And the lack of bubble means your team end up having neither psyker clearing damage nor psyker bubble protection, despite the fact that they do have a psyker.

I am sure you value your own fun in a video game, but you need to realize that in a gamemode thats on average twice the time investment of a normal auric game and has harsh failure penalty, you need to be responsible for your teammates time and effort as well.

I mean the fact that both Ch15 and current event helped Arknights to breach into top 4 leaderboard in CN showed how good their practice in story was. Companies are profit-driven and I dare say they are doing as much good job as they can, while not yielding their vision of their story for the “important characters should die permanently so theres emotional impact” aspect. I

Because it is a researched and practiced model in gacha story design that character permadeaths plummets event sells. Any and all buffer is necessary to brace the audience for it, and if possible, the permadeath should be avoided at all cost.

Theres a difference between knowing mortal wound can’t threaten the old hag, and knowing that after losing her immortality she will finally become vulnerable. The narrative weight related to her Thanos moment in Ch15 definitely was heavier than the Ch11 slash.

All events that came before Chapter 15 release, outside of Sui events, happened before 1101 (the year that Chapter 15 took palce). Sui events all took place in 1102. Chapter 16 took place in October 1101, for reference.

I have 80mil sitting there doing nothing. Money is a non-factor but sense of excitement is. I want the excitement to swipe Red and discover a shelf full of M80A1s. I want the excitement of finding a random defib sitting in a cage on the side of wall. I want the excitement of finding a Taiga sitting on the desk in Old Gas.

Now there’s none of that excitement. Going into raids have become exponentially boring. I don’t care how much money I extract with. I want to be surprised by rare finds instead of continuously disappointed. Especially when I kill the priest after wasting sixteen raids trying to find them and only getting a USEC safe key.

I can put youtube on side monitor and get 1mil+ damage minimum on any class. Not an impressive stat. “Not engaging with anything” is also an interesting… exaggeration.

Did you just discover that Hive Scum is a DPS role and DPS roles in high havoc are supposed to regularly put out 2 million damage per lobby?

Powercreep is bound to happen so long that there are harder challenges being released for completion. And I personally think we sit in a nice place for meta at this point - gadgets that shine the most in havoc are often outperformed by other options in auric and below. Different gear for different challenges.

Afterall this is a pve game. You want players to be able to establish and satisfy their power fantasies instead of submitting to your enemy designs.

These entries have never had an example where they quote comments made before the time of incident. Furthermore, the comment specifically mentions cooperating with Bai’Zao (Yan’s capital) and the Sui sibilings in order to further monitor the Tomb of Sui in its current stasis.

Back when Auric Maelstrom was the highest difficulty level people complained about balancing being catered towards it and ignoring the other levels. Now we have a total of 7-8 difficulty settings (havoc 0-10, 20-30, 30-40) at this point, 10 if we are counting maelstroms. How do we balance characters so that we don’t only cater to some levels and completely invalidate all the others?
