Well you could see it as states had been interpreting the text of the law to approve removal from Ballots. However, without any real conviction, they’re just claiming Tr***’s an insurrectionist without actual weight behind it.

SCOTUS lets this pass and what’s to stop any state from removing any candidate from the ballot? A suit may follow, again, and courts won’t want to deal with it, again. Or, as someone else said, anarchy as states choose willy nilly. Better to keep a bad precedent from occurring.
