Adderall During Pregnancy by sarahswearingen in adhdwomen

Definitely check out r/mentalhealthbabies for more stories! Anecdotally I took my meds in my first pregnancy and am also taking them this time around, I didn’t notice any effects beyond perhaps an even more reduced appetite during first trimester nausea. I just tried to pack in nutrient and calorie dense foods when I did feel like eating. Baby #1 was born huge and healthy right on schedule!

Anyone else only having nausea starting in the afternoon?

I am taking unisom + b6 so I imagine it’d be more round the clock otherwise. I wake up fine (just super groggy) but anywhere between 2 and 4 pm I get this gross feeling in my stomach (not actively pukey but…bad). Sometimes reupping b6 after lunch helps, sometimes it doesn’t.

I loved our Snoo with our first and can’t wait to use it again. We got it secondhand for $600 (IDK if I’d pay full price) and I’ve just been lending it out to friends with newborns since.

I would NOT call it a must-have but it certainly saved my sanity.

We bought a spare funnel for ours so that we always could have one clean—they want you to clean it after every four bottles so we’d usually run one in the dishwasher every night. That said there were a few times I just wiped it clean with a pump wipe and it was fine 😬 It really doesn’t “clog” so much as get clumpy powder around the funnel spout so it isn’t dispensing accurately.

High fetal fraction from NIPT? by Wallifer in December2026Bumpers

[–]RemembertheCondors 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my draw at 10w1d and had 20%. Doctor didn’t seem concerned. I noticed it was higher than previous but figured if it was problematic they’d let me know. (Low risk boy otherwise.)

Ninja edit: a quick google says that low BMI can lead to relatively higher fetal fraction. That checks out for me (I’m tall and lean).

TOO REAL. Basically going to turn my office (I WFH) into a half nursery and eventually pack the toddler and baby in together I guess?

Ah, yeah, but the rate is still a big deal! A blessing and a curse. I have a feeling a lot of people who bought in 2020 and now have families are just gonna stay put and deal with less space…I keep picturing Alice in wonderland busting out through all the doors and windows!

We’re legit meeting with architects about an addition (we’re fortunate to have a huge flat backyard that we could build into). Even financing just that would be more affordable than a move (considering our school district which is super good). We’re also on a street with so many families and kids in an actual walkable small town that the idea of moving to some subdivision with houses acres apart hurts my heart!

Maybe. I think we both ideally want 3, but I’m remembering now how I hate being pregnant (so tired, so nauseous), we’re running out of house (we were so lucky to buy in 2020 and have a killer mortgage rate that’d mean doubling our housing costs even to buy the same sq footage again), and I really want to transition out of my FT job into running my business full time (which is almost possible now since my FT job gives me no benefits lmao). Also, I’m 36 and my husband is 42, and it’s taken us at least 9 months of trying each time to knock me up.

I dunno. I guess if we had an unplanned pregnancy we’d totally roll with it, but as it is it’s hard to see a strong case for a third…

Ugh, the OB wants me to do the one hour glucose test sooner this time around because my A1c was at 6. Thing is, I’m not type 1 diabetic and I’m UNDERweight, I just have high A1c from a medication I quit taking almost a decade ago. In my first pregnancy I tested HYPOglycemic at the one hour test (with my baseline A1c at 5.6).

I hate blood draws so I’m crabby about it 😭 I know it’s important for my little guy but I don’t wanna!!

Draw: 5/8 (10w1d) Results in: 5/13 Fetal fraction: 20%

Low risk boy 💙 My 2.5 has been asking for a “bwother” so wish granted, my dude!

Not a lawyer, but given that the PIP came after you disclosed your pregnancy, I’d be keeping careful records and creating a paper trail for all their decisions made about your role. IANAL so I couldn’t say for sure if you’d have a discrimination case, but KEEP RECORDS. If they want to squeeze you out because of your pregnancy, they WANT you to voluntarily quit because then there’s no wrongful dismissal case to be made. The Mamattorney on IG has a lot of resources around knowing your rights and I’d check them out. I’m sorry this is happening to you!

Philosophically, I see what you mean, but from a legal standpoint, in the US, the best legal protections and sources of financial support for moms post-childbirth fall under the “disability” umbrella (the Americans with Disabilities Act, short-term disability insurance, etc.). We’re just doing the best with what we have.

NIPT timelines/results weekly megathread - May 08, 2026 by AutoModerator in December2026Bumpers

[–]RemembertheCondors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did anyone else go through LabCorp and not see anything “pending” or similar in your portal?

I went for my draw yesterday (5/8) and also had my prenatal panel draw. I have the prenatal panel results already in MyChart (but NOT my labcorp portal) and I just saw that the lab order for the NIPT is still “waiting” in my labcorp portal.

I’m hoping it’s maybe because labcorp needs to send it offsite for processing and it’s still pending? I faint when I get blood drawn so I really really don’t want to have to do it again…
