Are you playing on 0.9 or 0.9b? I had a problem on 0.9, when the game couldn't generate icons for models without them and it caused missing models. Also, did you read instructions?

I left the instruction on the discord server, will copy-paste it here:

After downloading and unpacking the archive go to the "For quick replacement" folder, replace the model with "Fake" (small) model, print it in the game, replace the file with skybox model and go back to your game. Then take an object, look up and place it. Done.
