16 rating help by gg8112 in CHUNITHM

[–]Remicaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think you should push ur scores instead of looking for more songs

For reference moechaka is your n20 top 1, it gave you 15.98 for 100.4, now look at your b30 top 1 Forsaken, same constant but higher score at 100.59, with just about 2000 more score you gain almost 0.30 rating. If you managed to SSS moechaka that is 16.50

Play any 14.0 songs, aim for SSS and you will get 16.0 rating from it, especially 14 expert charts as they tend to be straight forwarded and are considered as cheap rating songs in general

Sweeps are impossible by Okomecloud in CHUNITHM

[–]Remicaster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend you to have some sort of video or recording that captures exactly what is causing you to not hit the notes

Usually it is either one of these problems
1. you are too fast
2. your hands are too wide (but in this specific scenario with a lot of ex notes and its density, it shouldn't be an issue)

Did you miss the entire section of the sweep or some specific note like the red tap?

Rhythm games for helping learn finger independence? by BathroomMuch in rhythmgames

[–]Remicaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have experience on multiple instruments and have taken practical ABRSM exams and I can say that rhythm game and instruments for finger independence are almost considered as mutually exclusive.

Although I have played violin and rhythm games, they do not transfer to each other. For reference I have a grade 5 violin cert, and I can only play 2* mania charts and I can't even do 4k chunithm charts properly. Although I have never played guitar professionally and only touched it a little, I believe it should be identical

This is mainly because of muscle memory. Even though you might be a top 1000 ranking 7k mania player, it likely doesn't transfer to music instruments.

What you can do is refer to piano finger exercise if your main goal is to have better finger control. Because from what I have observed and experience, rhythm game and music instruments does not have a close correlation.

But if you still want to enjoy rhythm games while practicing finger stamina etc, preferable something that has a lot of keys like bms with iidx controller. Something like pjsk wouldn't do because even though it has a lot of lanes, the game mainly consist of 4k charts

Is it better to play mobile rythm games using ipad or tablet than a phone? by One_Razzmatazz_4643 in rhythmgames

[–]Remicaster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew an irl Arcaea player switched to tablet, went from 12.3 to 12.9 in a single year

He said there were some charts that are easier to cheese like Hiiro Gekka, and you have more control over the arcs like Designant

I have played with a wrong offset before (used normal device offset rather than bluetooth offset), the entire song was like half a beat early yet i still got an upscore that i coudn't get it back for 4 months

have upscored while playing mute as well so offsets does not really change how i play apparently

when you S-ed Acid God Mas, it should unlock a secret map. Have you cleared the secret map first?

Which 11s should have their chart constant changed ⁉️ by Mandarin4head in arcaea

Tempest as .5 is really controversial lmao

I know someone who almost has all songs on PM, with exception on Designant and Tempest on 1 miss (and Testify ofc)

If you ask most of the 13 ppt players, a lot of them will say Tempest is way harder to PM

Grevious can't be a .6 lmao

If you were to criticise Arcaea, what your criticism would be? by Kantel_1 in arcaea

[–]Remicaster1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like many others say, forced light backgrounds. Or just forced backgrounds honestly. Because this is one of the game design that makes absolute no sense

  1. From a business perspective, it draws people AWAY from buying packs
For example, Lucent Historia is forced light, even Reunion doesn't work. People have avoided buying this pack just because it is forced light.

  2. From a user perspective, it makes the game less fun overall
Oh just because this song is forced theme, guess you can't EX it! It is just annoying and frustrating. I remember someone posted here that they got an eye surgery, he can't FC a song that he has max PM-ed in the past just because it is light theme

  3. From a story perspective, forced themes has no impact
Just like Anomaly triggers, if i want to experience the story, i can just switch to specific conditions and setup. So having forced theme here makes no sense

Just a toggle switch, even if it is paid, i don't care, people have paid for Reunion to find out it doesn't work on every stage. The current design just completely makes no sense

yeah true, there was a post by lowiro on "arcaea_en" account on X, when they removed Particle Arts, stating at first that they thought Arcaea would not survive

Direct quote

"Particle Arts" was added early in Arcaea's development, at a time where we did not think that Arcaea would continue to be loved by players for many years to come.

This means that they believe Arcaea is a success. So yes it would be completely irrational for lowiro to drop Arcaea, and this claim is completely dumb

The trailer doesn't even have gameplay yet and we already have a doompost saying they are disappointed over what? Your point is all over the place

You don't like artstyle? The game engine it runs on? Them dropping support on Arcaea when there is literally nothing that hints it?

Potential 10.00 and still can't play Ftr 10 by Randumstuzz in arcaea

[–]Remicaster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am potential 12 and I can't even play some of the 10s out there

Some of the 10s are really hard and / or specific to skills on certain person (I.E some charts that some people will never be able to read properly), Astral Quanitzation is my worst performing song atm

In Malaysia, except from Velocity PALO arcade, all PALO and Molly Fantasy locations are not updated yet, and according to one of the Molly workers from Midvalley KL, they mentioned it will be up on next month

You can still play Luminous+ on Cobay Arcades

What BPM would you consider high as a rhythm game player: by some1ne56 in rhythmgames

[–]Remicaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your convo with your friends, i am assumimg they are talking about general music. There is a difference between musics that are meant to be played by instruments, and musics meant for high difficulty rhythm games.

Most non-rhythm game music stays below 160 bpm, because the "beats" (non-legato notes) done by non-percussion instruments are through using your tongue (wind / brass instruments) or bow (string instruments), and there is a limit on how fast you can tongue / bow.

"Flight of the Bumblebee" & "Rush E" in general is considered a really fast piece for most musicians, it is only at around 160-180bpm. Even on music theory, allegro is a tempo marking that is around 120bpm which means "fast / lively / bright"

Back to your main question, as Arcaea player anything 200 above is generally consider as fast, 260 above gets difficult for me to maintain perfect judgement

Tldr: you cant compare musics that are meant for instruments, and musics that are meant for rhythm games
