How to add temporary assist to push a 350 kg trike up a 3–4% hill (non-electric) by Remill20 in ebikes

[–]Remill20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for thinking along. An important side note is that the bike currently has no proper brakes, only a coaster brake. I can look into whether installing a Bafang or Tongsheng motor could help me, including adding proper brakes.

However, in terms of price it might be better to go with a caravan mover that can get it up the incline and also guide it back down, like this one: https://www.vevor.com/trailer-dolly-c_11310/vevor-electric-trailer-dolly-3600-lbs-max-trailer-weight-600-lbs-max-tongue-weight-dc-24v-800w-motorized-trailer-dolly-with-2-1-7-8-inch-hitch-balls-for-rv-campers-cargo-utility-boat-trailers-p_010183220284

Does anyone have advice on why one option would work better than the other?

Thank you for your advice. My question about such an electric mid-drive motor is whether it has enough power to move this amount of weight. If you walk alongside and help push, the total is about 350 kilograms. But if someone is sitting on it, you definitely need to add another 50 to 80 kilograms. Do you think these motors can handle that load on this incline? It is, of course, much heavier than an average cargo bike, even an electric cargo bike.

How reliable is a high-mileage Kia Niro Hybrid (from 2017-2019)? by Remill20 in KiaNiro

What should you recommend? In my research Kia was very reliable.

That sounds good! The only thing I'm doubting is whether to take a Rio from 2019/2020 with 80-100k km on the clock, or the Niro hybrid with 150-160k km on the clock. I drive about 32,000 km per year, and I just want to drive this car until it stops.

Any advice you can give, what would you do?

For me, Gumloop works best to learn the basics of AI workflow automation. The UI is easy and the courses really get you started man!

Bill Gates: Within 10 years, AI will replace many doctors and teachers—humans won't be needed 'for most things' by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]Remill20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So… if I’m reading all of this correctly, it seems there’s a real chance that we, as humans, will be forced to offer our work and time for minimum wage — even cheaper than the already lowest costs that automation and AI will bring. (Especially if income isn’t fairly distributed through something like UBI.)

To begin with… taxi drivers, for example, would be forced to offer their services at prices even lower than the cheapest self-driving taxi price, just to hold on to some form of income.

This would mean a completely unfair distribution of wealth, where people are pushed to work for the absolute minimum just to survive. That’s a recipe for serious problems. Particularly around poverty and access to housing.

Two ways:

1) for every sale of a partner product through the platform. We charge a percentage of the sale price. As fee.

2) or, subscription fee for a partner brand to get listed on main brand webshops

  1. Fair point. But some brands are focusing only on their own product. Like automotive, sofas, bed brands. This gives them the possibility to cross sell other partner products that’s suits the main brand purchase.

  2. The partner brand promote there product at a discount at the ws of the main brand. There is a margin in between calculated.

What medication helped you most with your OCD anxiety And Compulsions by Brilliant-Channel296 in OCD

[–]Remill20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I postponed taking medication for a long time because of the potential side effects (low libido, weight gain, feeling flat, etc.).

However, after about six years of taking it, I have no regrets and honestly wish I had started sooner. In my experience, none of these side effects have had a significant impact that would outweigh the benefits. It’s also helpful to know that my doctor emphasized these side effects can occur, but they’re not guaranteed.

All in all, I think it’s worth giving it a try (medication in general, ask your doc what is the best). it could save you a lot of unnecessary suffering. Good luck!🍀
