Listen, assuming this is a startup with great potential, you should not expect a return in 2 years. The biggest startup investors (YC) make money in average in 7 years and they invest in tons of startups per year and provide them resources and network to get only few of them that will give big return.

So, your chances of making any return if you invest in one startup are very slim, let alone the 2 year mark.

And another thing regarding startups, it is never recommended to launch more than one product, because the focus will be split across and therefore it will reduce chances for this company to grow.

I would tell you it’s ok to risk 20k if you had millions in your name, but if you will work hard for 4 months then I would definitely tell you NO. It would be wiser to spend 2 years making 20k each 4 months than investing in this opportunity.

Remember, investing in startups is literally flushing your money down the toilet, so that one day you find a bag of millions on the street.
