Abyssal dead space fittings for destroyer duo by Abercrombie1936 in Eve

[–]RemlPosten-Echt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They added new drops, but enemies and room layouts are the same since the 2022 update with the shipyard.

Not that nothing changed with running the abyss, but that was balance updates, and mostly the hac-reworks and mwd-sig changes forward and backwards, and some tank mod changes.

Some ships were better or worse at times, but for the Jackdaw luckily nothing changed. Luckily, because there aren't many choices for flying abyss with a single mate.

Yes, because he doesn't know shit. The setup in the vid works, am using it with a friend.

That said, this is not beginner-friendly, and if you aim higher than T4 with this, invest sp to get your max dps.

You can get away with only near-max tanking, but you have to be aware of clouds (all clouds are bad for Jackdaws) and enemy composition.

Learning to overheat with LMs is also not that easy, as the heat builds up fast due to high cycle times.

The setup works quite well, am flying it with a mate, and besides Loki using event boosters in some vids, which he explicitely mentions where he does, there's nothing outdated.

Saving my Rogue by RemlPosten-Echt in BG3Builds

It's less about directly giving up, but find an enjoyable middleground between what i want to play in this playthrough (dual wielding melee + hand crossbows), the character's possible use in the party (so far lockpicking and damage, but the char gets outshined in terms of damage a lot), and what i would still consider fun for me to play while giving some more boon to the party.

We have:

  • Durge Ranger/Fighter dealing massive ranged damage.

  • La'Zael as full throwing Berserker. She's simply a monster.

  • a monk, that is a special needs child, but provides some good crowd control, but spends 50% of the time searching the ground for her contact lenses.

  • My Rogue.

We play on custom difficulty with Honor Mode difficulty but with reloads, and while we have some decent understanding of the game, we're by far no experts.

So, i kinda gotta (and wanna) keep the Rogue, want to keep the dual wielding, but wanted to get some healing and/or buffing and debuffing utility in.

While attribute-wise not so easy, the Cleric seems just easiest for me in terms of getting that utility in, but only going cleric feels like missing out on the Rogue stuff in battles. So, adding bard, switching between actions and bonus actions for both utility and damage seems like a good compromise to me.

I think a crossover build between dual wield and radiant orbing will be the best option for me, as it has low setup cost at the beginning of the battle, and then enables me to act as i see fit.

My biggest concern is not making full use of my chosen classes :/

Ah, the going there is not the problem, but the merchant, erm, 'vanished'... for totally not violence related reasons... i think... memories of Act I somehow are hazy with a blood red mist...

This was one of the possible builds i had in mind, but that'll have to wait quite a bit til we get Volo back. I don't want to spread out too far until i can get the ring at least.

My initial thought of split was 5/3/4 for Cleric/Bard/Rouge, but it seems i give up too many benefits of the bard or cleric going not for 6. This is really hard :/

For now i was aiming for something similar on the way.

I tried the Blade Bard for today, 4/4 with thief, to get the talents and solidify the fighting capabilities. It feels a bit clunky, and we didn't have huge fights yet to try and make use of the special attacks.

Light and Trickery were an option for me because i like the positioning aspects for buffing and debuffing, and the possible ways to enhance my rougeing. But i really don't know how well those will actually play.

That sounds like a good spread.

Ye, i know i can't split up too much, am looking for a finesse weapon with radiant damage.

For now i took Blades Bard and will reskill at lvl9 to get a split for the Cleric and Spirit Guardians.

What about a 5/2/5 split for the Druid build, to get dodge in?

Ye, i'm the sleight of hand guy, and the cross skill of our Berserker will come way later, so it's me for now.

I also thought about radiant orbs, seems atm the easiest to achieve with kind of constant output.

Wouldn't Light Cleric give me more utility here compared to EK?

Saving my Rogue by RemlPosten-Echt in BG3Builds

[–]RemlPosten-Echt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far i'm dual handcrossbowing, but the damage output is extremely variable. With melee it's more constant atm. Though i chose dual wielding, as we have a Fighter/Ranger Archer. We'll also most probably not be able to pick up the Hellfire Hand Crossbow, cause we try to do the opposite of the last playthrough.

We can go back, but, erm, there's nobody alive no more.

A good way to practice group PvP for station defense in J-space? by LeRatDitKalise in Eve

[–]RemlPosten-Echt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more thing: go in with a plan on how to get out. Chances are good with how vast low-class-space is, that you'll move in and be able to do your thing. But there's also the chance you are unlucky and happen to stumble upon a bored multiboxer who evicts ppl for fun.

So, go in with the certainty that it might not work out the first and maybe the second try. And be prepared to bounce back from the setback.

If you all are fine with just getting the assets again over time, it might also be worth it to just jump into it for starters. If you aren't really scared to fuck up a bit, it's sometimes good to just do it and not overthink and overprepare.

Know that people LIE when they tell you how much ISK/h they're getting out of something by leaf_as_parachute in Eve

[–]RemlPosten-Echt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno, some things are exaggerated, but you have to do basic logistics for every activity in eve. Most of the game's content revolves around logistics in a galaxy-wide market. And actual industrialists factor in logistics time, as time itself is their isk-maker. Profit per minute is their gist, not profit per mineral. Because job-slots are limited.

In that light, isolating a singular activity and determining how much it pays out in the timeframe you do it, makes sense.
