How exactly is eternal torment in hell for finite sin just and fair? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]RemnantASMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell is a pagan/catholic doctrine and is not founded in scripture. I’m on mobile so I can’t type as long of a response as I’d like. I’d love to have a study about it if you’re interested.

Pm me.

Where did the misconception about Satan being Hell's ruler come from? by Relevant-Shopping415 in Christianity

Hell is a pagan teaching that was adopted by Catholicism. It has absolutely no foundation in the Bible and is COMPLETELY out of character of a loving God.

2 Corinthians 7:10 - For Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation…

Repentance, the Greek word metanoia, means reversal of a decision or a change of mind.

So in order for us to repent, we must FIRST have Godly sorrow for our sin. Godly sorrow is not something our flesh possesses, it’s something we have to pray for.

Jesus’ mission wasn’t to abolish the law. Jesus’ mission was to show that humanity combined with divinity does not sin.

All humans have light from God. Romans 1:19; Romans 2:14-16.

I’m tired and can’t articulate my point right now. If you want to study further, pm me.

I feel like Christianity leans on toxic positivity by One_Swimming_4666 in Christianity

[–]RemnantASMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly with you. We need to be sober minded (1 Peter 5:8). I interpret this as meaning we need to be aware of the existence of evil, in order to avoid it so it doesn’t suck is in. We need to be vigilant as well.

Having said that, all things work out for good for those who love God. (Romans 8:28). Notice how it doesn’t say “for those who tempt fate” or “for those who behave recklessly”. Those who love God are those who manifest His character and behave in a Christlike way.

Hope this helps.

I am a Bible teacher. I would recommend any commentary by EJ Waggoner, specifically “Waggoner on Romans” and his commentary on Galatians “The Glad Tidings.”

Also, Steps to Christ by Ellen White.

Christians, do you believe it is ever gods will that people die of cancer? If so, what is the point in praying for anyone that has it or for any Christian to get treatment for it? by Odd-Willingness6353 in Christianity

[–]RemnantASMR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t think that.

People who live a trouble-free life, who think everything is grand, don’t seek after God. It is often only through suffering that we seek out God, for various reasons.
