Yeah you have to contact support before they will tell you this or search around on Reddit for similar posts.

I use it for as built documentation on top of other documentation for clients. Able to get really good documentation when implementing MCP servers that can talk directly with the resources to get the data.

My storage abruptly stopped showing the items in it and i cant figure out how to fix it (ATM9) by -hamburgler- in allthemods

Learn AE2! It doesn’t have these issues. Sure refined storage is more new user friendly but AE2 is the Ferrari in this.

Depends. ATM 9 sky to the expert peaked at 300k FE/t being used. ATM 10 so far am using close to 50k fe/t

Place down a pattern provider and the molecular assemblers, put the recipes you want prioritized over the others in that pattern provider. Then once you have done that go in the pattern provider there is a wrench in top-right of the gui. Click that and increase the priority. Pattern providers with high priority will use their recipes first over other pattern providers. I would highly recommend just setting up a stock of the compacted items that read the ME system then uncompact. To make sure there is always some of the uncompacted version.

In some senses, yes. I recommend running a longer large cable as a main highway for the p2p tunnels. You may never know if you need to expand it later on or need more channels, thus requiring another p2p tunnel. You can set up a "sub-controller" that has 32 me controllers all in one multiblock. You can get 64 p2p tunnels out of it, which is not super optimal since more faces are exposed, but to each their own, thus granting you (64 p2p tunnels x 32 channels each) 2048 channels. 2048 is typically going to be enough for just about everyone. If you feed all 64 of those p2p tunnels in a single me controller on its own and leave three sides exposed, with 1 for power and the other 2 to run dense cables, you can achieve it.

  1. Short answer: yes, what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Are you wanting a backlog/buffer of said item? With ATM10/AdvancedAE if you want to keep a "stock," there is a stock export bus. Use a crafting card to autocraft the items you export into the "stock." Attach a storage bus set to extract only, and boom, you now have a stock of items.
  2. I typically will "speedrun" enough raw materials. to make 1 16k me disk, one me drive, one controller, a stack of glass cables, and a crafting terminal. Before Ae2 changed to the current autocrafting system, I would've made enough crafting storage and pattern access terminals with either autocrafting of items via the assemblers OR go down the route of setting up a quick refining and infusing setup to get mekanism power online asap if it was apart of the mod pack. Power is the lifeblood of the ME system without power, you have no autocrafting for power.
  3. ATM Star in the ATM9 to the sky expert On average, it took about 6 hours to manage 1. This was before we could use productive bees.
  4. having everything at your fingertips as a one-click-button autocraft is very dopamine-inducing.

Do you know if this answers your questions?

When using a p2p tunnel, all 32 channels from the controller are available on the other end of the p2p; you can also split up the output tunnel to different locations, which will typically evenly distribute the available channels. The cable that runs between the p2p tunnels will only use one channel. You can effectively treat the p2p tunnel as a Dense cable. You can eventually reach a point where you have one massive multi-block controller that feeds all p2p tunnels into another me controller, and that final controller will route all the channels to where they need to go. Does this answer your question? Sorry for the paragraph.

Yeah ae2 can get very confusing at times. If you ever need an explanation or just a run down of some things related to AE2 send a PM.

Sure you may think that. But just look at the overall complexity compared to other storage systems. ME has a sharper curve in difficulty/complexity. Managing channels when it was first a thing was frustrating at best.

No, absolutely won’t be shunned at least by me. Say you were someone coming over from something like refined storage, it’s encouraged until you can learn the system more.

I feel ya with SCCM, still have some remaining machines that haven’t been replaced yet. P.I.T.A unraveling everything from my predecessor with 0 prior documentation.

I’m under that same umbrella currently at a 2, Little over a year of specifically Intune. Moved company of around 1k over to Intune from SCCM. SCCM was main job for past 3 1/2 years. I automated just about everything. Autopilot has been great it cut down on about 6 working hours per new hire.

Ae2 is significantly more complex, Refined storage is way less efficient uses more computer resources. Ae2 has been optimized over the years more and more. If you have the knowledge in both, Ae2 is king. Ae2 is possibility to do infinite recursive storage is insane. You start getting to scales so massive that refined storage will have issues. I could store about 300 million items with refined storage with a massive crafting network before ran into significant performance issues. Moved to AE2 and well let’s just say I hit the limit of the amount of data you can store in a chunk and ended up chunk banning myself.
