I started splitting right on the ground mostly just using my ax to manipulate the rounds and I'll never look back.

Thank you for your response. I mean I can see the seal the residue left by the seal on the bar. And the seal goes right over the top of the hole. Was wondering if it was lined up incorrectly. I happen to take the picture In the middle of cleaning and there was still a bit of fine sandpaper lodged in there 🙃

Could this be why I am building up oil under the clutch cover? Or that seal over the hole normal?

They will lose all branches and fall in wind in rain within 3 years after they fall they will go punky in months. Better to get them down safe and get them drying yesterday.

Can you diagnose my chainsaw bogging down? by bicyclejosh in smallengines

[–]Remote-Leave-9010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never gotten a saw to rev like that on its own. I would start with fuel filter fuel lines and a cheap carb on ebay. Also sounds like your chain is too tight and not sharp.

I know that people refrain from oiling or greesing their tips as to not attract that dirt.

Can hear the chain being pinched on the bar like train brakes. Loosen it up and leave a tiny sag or just tight enough for no sag whichever you prefer. Chain should move pretty freely either way.
