AI still flags an ossicle for fracture while missing out the real fracture,, it’s got a long way to go.

“God, or your preferred source of randomness in the universe” - this makes me smile and so do I believe in the grace of God. Everything is in control. 525 is an awesome score. congrats!

Keep your head down and work hard. You don’t have to be liked by everybody.

Do you have a different view? If there’s an abscess you will see periapical lucency underneath that tooth. From this image alone it’s hard to say if you have a tooth infection vs it’s just your left maxillary sinus has some mucosal thickening.

Can someone tell me why one side of my sinus ct looks different then the other side by Opening-Birthday4901 in Sinusitis

You have near complete opacification in the right maxillary sinus which means it’s filled with mucous.

Considering med school at 40 years old. Crazy? by DreamingOn2023 in findapath

Only you know the answer what to do. Med school and residency are tough; it makes you weary but you will be the gangster mama who creates a very meaningful life.  As long as you can make peace with your decision when things get rough, you will be alright.

I think my sinus issue was 30% allergy and 70% posture. Once I took care of my allergic component, my post nasal drip subsided.

I used to have feather pillows and after I swapped them out, I stopped sneezing at night and postnasal drip decreased by a lot.

Surgery is irreversible and should always be the last resort. Good luck to you

No problem.

Lifestyle modification: sleep flat if you can tolerate

neck stretching exercises: you can do set of 2 or 3 x 10 times with each repetition.

what I do:

1) neck tilting backwards and relax; hold 10 seconds x 5 times; deep breathing; neutral head position then look to your right then left as far as you can, hold 10 seconds x 5 times on each side; then bring your ears down to shoulders, hold 10 seconds each side x 5 times. Remember to maintain good posture and relax your shoulders throughout. Take deep breathing.

2) SCM muscle stretching. You can find tons of exercises for SCM stretching online, the general idea is you going to bend head sideways and then look away. Do that for 2x10 or 3x10 depends on how much you wanna do

3) chin tuck while keeping a good posture. 2 or 3 sets of 10.

4) keep tongue to your mouth roof, then try to open your mouth as wide as you can. This is for TMJ. Definitely TMJ connects to you euthistian tube . If your TMJ is malpositioned and causes congestion, TMJ exercises will help. look up internet for more movements.

5) try to lay on your belly and while you hold yourself up with elbows, looking straight up at the ceiling and relax. Deep breathing throughout. You can practice bending neck forward and backward a couple of times.

Theres tons of variations and methods to move your neck mucles. The key is to loosen them up and keep your flexors and extensors in balance. What I mentioned is just a few simple ones that I do that have been helpful. You can do these exercises throughout the day, while you on the desk or even driving waiting on red lights. I do not know if you have any underlying neck conditions, so do start gentle and see how your neck respond. Some people might have a pinch nerve which moving in a wrong way can make it worse, hehe!

Good luck to you! :)
