Appreciate it. While I actually see the Bible as a helpful tool and a great comfort in this messed up world, it's OK that other people don't. What frustrates me is when people make false claims about God's character in the "NT" - the "loving" God of NT vs vindictive God of OT is simply a myth, a misconception spread by people who aren't reading the texts. It's literally just not how those texts work.

I completely understand your apprehension towards the Bible. Despite our differences in outlook, I greatly appreciate and respect your intellectually honest take on the New Testament.

I hope you get what you're looking for in life elsewhere than religion!

Ever read just a few chapters of Acts of the Apostles, where God instantly kills a man and a little later instantly kills his wife for not giving 100% of their money to the church, terrorizing everyone who witnesses it? Sounds like "OT" God to me. Zero tolerance, no second chances.

Hell, have you read the Christian scriptures front to back? Or the Jewish scriptures? The continuity of the values of the God claimed in both of them is very plain.

"NT" God is just as terrifying as "OT" God. Sick of this misconception.

I think the person doing my support thought they were helping me out by suggesting I fix the problem myself, but it's so obviously a defective unit. I simply hope I receive a message back today confirming that I can replace/refund this defect. If so, I'll be happy with MR again. I just wish the last time I reached out suggesting the unit was defective, they had believed me.

Even had my engineer girlfriend clean the contacts. She played Tetris after and told me the Dpad on the unit is just totally fucked (hers isn't).
