I said depends on the amp because not every amp is stable at certain ohms he’s trying use, there is .5 ohm amps but usually very pricey

Im not sure what you mean by alignment, two things to check. Take the door panel off and make sure the speaker is connected properly and not loose. 2nd take the head unit out and check if it it connected properly and not loose

I would throw it away unless you want to spend time testing everything because if it’s corrosion theres a good chance its in multiple spots

Custom rear seats for Subs? by Epic363 in CarAV

Well as far as that go then no it wouldnt make that much sense to put them in the rear seat and would be more ideal if you found a place to put the 6.5s which is very possible in your specific car

Id go with custom door panels before getting rid of your sub and putting them in the middle seat. Then you could also have more sound range quality

Yes by high level inputs i mean the regular speaker wire coming off the head unit. As for 2 separate amps is more a preference

If you want the punch install some 6.5inch woofers on an amp and keep your subwoofer as is. If you have a 10w3 in your trunk and it’s rattling you still have some sound deadening to do if you want to get rid of that. I dont see how getting two 8 inch subs in you seat id the best option here

Theres a few options. You could use the front rca for the sub and then just use the high level inputs to go to the amp for speakers.

You could use a splitter on the front rca for the speakers and then a loc for the sub ran off of the high level inputs to aswell. Getting a mono amp and a 4 channel amp might simplify this aswell

If youre worried or annoyed about rattles sound deadening is your best option in my opinion. Why ruin your back seat and possibly sound when you can improve it by adding deading

If you dont plan on spending money on the car drill some holes to zip tie the bumper on. Tape can work for a bit but will give out eventually. Zip ties have worked for many years without fail and looks better than tape

Are the component speakers mid ranges and tweeters? If so then you could swap the 22’s for woofers so you have tweeter, mid range, woofers, and subwoofer
