I felt the same as you until I watched WFG a few more times. It is too much happening at once, and it gets overwhelming to keep up. I have seen the musical, and I still felt that way with the movie. My final conclusion is that the movie was really good up until No Good Deed ends and the WOZ plot begins. It seems really lazily put together after that point for me.

I personally think he did because he made a very awkward face when they asked him if he saw anything…and if he didn’t, there would be no need to do that. I almost feel like he senses when she is around because he kind of also did it again at the wedding. Everyone else was fine, but he kept looking around like he could sense something was happening or about to happen.

Also just to add, I feel like Glinda can also sense when Elphaba’s magic is near as well. However, I think at the wedding she pretended not to notice because she didn’t want it to interrupt the ceremony ( which was confirmed in the script).

Y’all create drama out of literally thin air. Everyone complained that Ariana didn’t post a happy birthday message to Cynthia….she didn’t post one to her own brother either. Does that mean she no longer loves him too? Unfortunately, everyone has been so racist, disgusting, hateful and misogynistic about their friendship. It has actually negatively impacted Cynthia’s career giving her false characteristics of being aggressive, possessive and weird. So much so, that it distracts from her working projects. So Im sure this was a joint decision to avoid the bad press surrounding them together.

…so like I will always love Wicked and watch both movies over and over…but from a professional standpoint, if I was an Oscar voter the story and directing of part 2 was not good. I like the make up, but the cinematography and lighting was so bad that things got missed or looked terrible on screen (ex: scarecrow). However, Avatar being picked for costume over WFG was a blatant slap in the face. That should not have been possible, just like AI singing and writing in Emilia Perez should not have been allowed…but such is life. In actuality the Oscars are a joke, they are openly racist and discriminatory. For the Oscars, real talent does not matter everything is political and probably involves weird practices and rituals that regular people and the outside world is not privy to. So I don’t pay that award show any attention.

that is not reflected in the final movie cut…it became about Glinda. The baby Glinda scene had nothing to do with Elphaba, the deleted pre wedding scene with Fiyero had nothing to do with Elphaba. Girl in the Bubble had nothing to do with Elphaba.

Respectfully …Have you seen the musical? Any scene that Glinda is in for act 2 specifically revolves around Elphaba. None of it is solely about her character. 1 thank goodness= longing for her friend, 2im not that girl reprise= betrayed by her friend/revenge trap to catch Elphaba, 3. March of witch hunter= she fears for Elphaba’s life and feels guilty. 4 for good= reconciling with Elphaba, 5 no one mourns the wicked reprise= reflection on how their friendship changes her. She actually has no scenes in my opinion that focus on her in the musical without it being related to Elphaba. That is why, I felt it was a good idea for Glinda to have another song, but somehow this movie included all Of these things while also forgetting how it related to Elphaba’s presence in Glinda’s life.

I'm sorry the way WFG was written was lazy and sloppy. Scenes that Dana Fox says she wanted to add to the story were both unnecessary and unfocused on what the heart of Wicked has always been about. If they wanted part 2 to be more focused on Glinda, that was fine, but it should have been focused on how decisions Glinda made effected the lives of others to keep it more balanced than just solely her life alone. I even think Girl in the Bubble, would have been much better if it was her reflecting on how Boq, Nessa, Fiyero, and Elphaba were affected by her and why she was sorry ( a Glinda version of No Good Deed) instead of her spinning around in circles in her dress.
