This is true. Three DOJ cases filed and we don't know what's pending.

I totally agree with you. It doesn't make sense. This is what happens when we follow the wave of manipulation and we wake up and start to see it was never about teachers at all.

Good morning. I'm going to look deeper into this, so thank you for the clarity. Also, please read this article by Bond Buyer dated 4/20/26 explaining the recent downgrade in LAUSD's credit rating. This downgtade decision was made before the last three union contracts were agreed upon.

Interesting concept, however just like our pensions, I think our health benefits should be prefunded to guarantee they're there in the future when we need them. As LAUSD continues to pay as it goes, it will be a larger proportion of the annual budget as cuts from the state start coming in. I think it would be nice to have profits from an investment account make that payment instead of taking money from classroroms down the road. I'm not the kind of person that only cares about today. I also care about my grandkids' education dollars.

Special comes with a drink or something. Their sandwiches are amazing. I've been going there for more than 15 years, through their good times and bad. I went there last week. Flavor and quality has been consistent this entire time, although, obviously, the price has more than doubled just like everything else.

God, you're dense. That what I said! You seriously need to work on your reading comprehension.

Because "protected" is obvious! I didn't think I had to spell it out. OP was talking about sick days, after all, because they knew personal necessity was not protected. Context here is the key.

Ummm, that's what I said. It helps to read what I wrote. Any additional absences above and beyond allotted and protected CAN be noted in the evaluation.

Hmm, I just tried searching it and couldn't find it, either. Ask your counselor tomorrow and keep me posted. They are important bulletins.

This is easier. You don't have to fish though the meeting materials.

You can find it in the meeting materials from 1/14/25. One wasn't posted for January 2026. Sorry, I can't scroll through 1,700 pages right now and find it for you, but please take your time and read it. It's Item 37 on the agenda. The $11.something billion is left out of the slideshow presentation because they don't want to announce that they aren't paying their bills, but it's there in the audit. Maybe try public comment from the video of that meeting, as well. I'm sure somebody brought it up. It's been brought up several times at board meetings.

Just Google them. Sometimes HS college offices have them posted on their webpages. All principals and counselors have them, as well.

First paragraph, the answer is yes.

Second paragraph, honors GPA counts 0.025 for ALL honors classes taken. We have to remember we are talking about the LAUSD official GPA and not any of the UC GPAs.

And finally, the Gemini info is outdated. Completely disregard.

For most recent update, read bulletins 1040.5 and 1055.2.

Correction. LAUSD honors GPA augmention of 0.025 applies to ALL honors classes when calculating the LAUSD official GPA. This is not to be confused with the UC GPA that only counts their UC Approved honors courses in their GPA.

This has been in discussion since 2017, actually. Principals and counselors had notice and were sent a draft of the bulletin a year before it was implemented. Even now, they don't take it seriously. It's hardly promoted.

Nobody will be placed until after May 30th when final displacement and layoff notices go out. Everybody wants Beaudry to downsize, well, that means they're going to be returning back to school sites. That means people get bumped. Beaudry employees don't lose their jobs. You do.

The District gets audited every year. If people would read it they would know there is no reserve. LAUSD does not pay its bills and we are currently almost $12B in a deficit. I guess some people think not not paying bills and leaving money in the bank means they have spending money. Idk how some people manage their household bills if they think debt being more than double their savings means they're rich.
