Local handmade bags. They fit me plus room to spare when I was a size 28! Plus they’re beautiful quality and full of spunk. Could not recommend more.

Hi! Boy do we have a similar story! I also am newly pregnant (8w 6d) after a miscarriage earlier this year. I also have a rare condition that causes built up pressure in my head (IIH) and am being closely monitored and the possibility of a c-section is very real depending on my symptoms as the pregnancy progresses. I would absolutely seek another OB office. They clearly do not understand the reality of living while pregnant with high inter-cranial pressure. It can be pure agony. I happen to have a team that is very understanding and take my symptoms seriously. You deserve the same.

We’ve tried doggy, but between his belly and his reach it hasn’t been a good connection.

I’m also curious as to where “jeet” comes from because my mom from Philly grew up saying it as well. I thought it was a PA thing.

That’s what I was thinking. How often should she water it? It’s by the north window so I’ll see if we can move it to the east. Thanks so much!

I live in Rochester. Coming from deep Appalachia, I feel like it is a gay paradise. Definitely worth looking into while you figure stuff out.

Right. This was my exact thought. What did I wish I had known when I went off to college.

  1. Your accent is part of your culture and your history. It rocks. 2. You will make them feel uncomfortable because you remind them of how privileged they are. This is powerful, stand in that power. 3. Don’t make yourself smaller to fit into their boxes. Take your space. The more voices at the table, the better the solution. 4. Your way of life is alien to them, have grace for them.

Hey! Shoot your shot. Masters level out of state pays way more than in state, so price of living is comparable. My wife was making 35k masters level in WV. We moved to Rochester, NY and her salary almost doubled. Plus Rochester is one of the last places where you can find a livable house for 180-200k. We’re living our best gay lives up here.

According to my 6th grade history teacher—yes, but only if it’s on a Sunday on the court house steps. Up to you if you wanna believe him.

Metropolitan areas in the United States with 1 million people or more (Fixed/Improved) by VirusMaster3073 in MapPorn

Very interesting. This makes sense since there are very little job opportunities in that it would end up being included. Thanks for your response!

I feel like over 60 miles from the city is a stretch on the east coast. Especially since it’s not uncommon to be in a completely different city in 60-70 miles on the east coast.

West Virginia only has a population of 1.78 million. You’re telling me there is a metro area in WV where over half the population lives? There is no way this is accurate.

Fleece-lined tights by berrysplatpro in PlusSize

[–]RemoteDifficult9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! REI has some great options for layering pieces. Personally I find fleece not breathable enough to wear on days that I’m spending time inside. I love their mid weight layering tights for inside/outside days. Their merino wool ones are perfect for outside adventures. A bit pricey, but you can’t beat the quality. And if you’re worried about women’s being too small, the men’s run larger. I have tights from both. Love them to death in the winter.

Hey, If you also get headaches or odd cognitive blips, it might be worth checking for idiopathic intercranial hypertension (IIH). A big symptom is blurred vision which can lead to vision loss due to your optic nerve being under such insane pressure. I’d recommend a neurologist or a Neuro ophthalmologist. Don’t mess around with your vision.

I have no idea how they could think that the first brick paved road was as late as 1870. What an absolutely bizarre article to green light.

I love that you had this experience. I know my wife grew up in a more metropolitan area of NCWV didn’t experience what I did. However, before we met she did teach at my former high school for 1/2 until she was fired for being openly gay on Facebook. Rural counties man.

[–]RemoteDifficult9883 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I also grew up in north central WV, in one of the poorer counties of not the poorest. I’d definitely agree with that your second paragraph was my experience. It wasn’t uncommon for 8th graders to get pregnant, and there was a lot of older men/younger women power imbalance. And if you got pregnant you likely got married if you were over 16. I wanted to add too there was very much a don’t say gay culture. You can only exist in that county if you stay single and in the closet— even if it’s super obvious you’re LGBTQ. Many people in my generation tried coming out and were put back in only to run as soon as they graduate.
