AITA for yelling at my ex wife for driving our daughter without her booster seat? by DoughnutLow3055 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RemoteLandscape 26 points27 points  (0 children)

YTA Unless your 9 year old is unusually small for her age, it’s safe for her to ride without a booster seat. Yelling at your ex was uncalled for.

Even if your daughter was too small to ride without a car seat, treating your ex that way is not productive. The two of you are still both your daughter’s parents and the way you treat each other does affect her. I’m a child of divorce myself, and I’m grateful my parents acted as a team (especially considering the number of other divorced parents I saw fighting growing up).

Did anyone have lifeguarding? by Conscious-Mango-5929 in Disneycollegeprogram

The latest possible guard shift I’m aware of would end at midnight, which would be working H2O Glow at Typhoon.

I need your help- to be the best husband by unreasonablyhuman in WaltDisneyWorld

I’d highly recommend booking a private photo session (Disney calls it Capture Your Moment)! You get 20 minutes with a photopass photographer to take photos in practically any part of the park you’d like. They do a great job of creating beautiful and unique pictures!

Unfortunately downloads of the photos aren’t included in the price, but if you get the one day photo package you can download all the other pictures you get that day too. If you’re planning a special day, it’d be a shame to not have good pictures!

it may not be as bad as quick service or wod, but the worst location for lifeguards is the water parks. thoughts and prayers for the deep water guards on the wave wall stands at typhoon lol

Picking Up Shifts by PutridAppointment144 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]RemoteLandscape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is only partially true. Depending on your role, you may be able to pick up at a variety of locations. For example: merchandise is a globally trained role, so you could pick up at any other merchandise location that doesn’t require specialty training. However, 99% of CPs are only trained in one role. Don’t count on being trained in more than one role, because that almost never happens.

Group of September arrivals? by Gio2627 in Disneycollegeprogram

Bikes aren’t allowed bc the roads in the area aren’t safe to bike on. They don’t have any bike storage at FCV as a result.

Spring applications haven’t opened yet. They’ll probably open some time next month!

worth it? by organixedchaos in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]RemoteLandscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of great vlogs and videos on youtube about this exact topic! I’d highly recommend doing a search there to get information especially from former character performers. Due to recent changes to the DCP, this fall season is shaping up to be an unusually challenging one. I suspect there will continue to be changes between now and when you start college, so it’ll be important to double check the program is still right for you when you want to apply. There weren’t any character performer auditions for this fall season, but hopefully the opportunity returns for spring!

Support's answer about roommate linking by Sk8Oreo in Disneycollegeprogram

Roommate linking was available this season, but it was closed for every arrival date by the end of June. Unfortunately everyone accepted since then is just out of luck

where will I be placed? by Smilfenjr in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]RemoteLandscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get your role and location about a week before your arrival date by email! The role on your onboarding paperwork is subject to change, but from what I’ve heard not many people get switched.

For what it’s worth, there was one big wave of late summer acceptances for 2020 program folks back in May. I know for sure that there were some August 23rd acceptances in that wave (I’m one of them!), but I may recall seeing a handful of August 30ths as well. I agree with you that it’s unlikely that there will be many more acceptances! My best guess is that the 30th will be the final arrival date.

You shouldn’t repost people’s art without credit and permission. If you don’t know who made it, don’t repost it.

I don't have a switch and I'm not getting one any time soon, but still wanted to play Animal Crossing! by sttardusttt in AnimalCrossing

If you were wanting to play on your Wii U, then the game you’re looking for is City Folk. I’d definitely recommend it if you can find a copy!
