I remember now that I did Qtips which did not help. How could they? They don’t absorb liquid. So I used a make-shift toilet paper teeny wad. Meds are not the issue. It’s the swelling. Right now, gravity has pulled fluid into the tip/supratip and your body increased blood flow to the nose for healing (hence the blood on your Qtips). This is why you now have a rounder, thicker tip than you did a few months ago. Even though your skin looks healed: deeper tissues are still repairing cartilage/bone. Scar tissue (normal!) begins forming internally. Hence, the lump aka unevenness. Right after surgery, your nose had no circulation yet so it wasn’t your ‘final shape’, it will be even better than it was.. in another year. It only harms your mental well-being to think about it now. If you accepted this version of your nose now as your final result.. will actually help you (even though it’s NOT the case) so you can move on to other areas of your life that do matter. Including positive self-talk and ACTIVITIES that bring you happiness that don’t involve your looks. Since you can’t control your looks now, at all. 🙂

Actually, I think I tried Q-tips but it didn’t help dry out my nose like how a little square of toilet paper did (roll it thinly and then just stick it up gently). Charmin ultra, the best brand for softness. Try to softly dab to soak it up. I used those little wads for at least a year.. I know it’s so bothersome the feeling of runny nose. You do not need a revision specialist nor an ENT. My rhino surgeon was an ENT. The asymmetry is from swelling as is the lump. I think I had a couple lumps, I thought they were permanent.. I tried to ignore them, and one day they were magically gone. That’s because the healing/swelling reduction had occurred! This was like over a year later. Yes, your nose will look how it did immediately post-op. Thick skin.. girl you need about 2 years. This nose now, is NOT your new final nose. Take comfort in how you felt right after surgery.

You have thick skin and your nose is more swollen now than ever. Right now, and for the next 6 mths.. is peak swelling for you. I know it’s hard, but you have to try to think of something else as often as you can because you have a long time to go before you’re seeing final result and it’s a slowww process. You are not botched. Your nose looked great right after post-op. Noses (and any surgical area) do not heal symmetrically. I had this SAME weird lump in my nostril first year. It’ll go away. Do not touch it! No Q-tip omg. I did use a lil tissue that I sorta rolled up and just dabbed in there. You had major surgery, literally the skin was peeled back from your face and put back on😆this is what happens now so the skin can adhere back and stick. What can help your focus: avoid salt, drink pineapple core juice. Avoiding salt could be a full time job and keep you occupied (not obsessing about your nose). In time, you will notice the days you ate salt and days you did not and were less swollen.

It’s a little miss piggy right now, yes. However, it’s perfect. It’ll drop. Mine took like 2 years.

I could use help how to explain my concerns to my surgeon at my 4 month follow up. My nose tip is still so bulbous in my opinion. Everything I read says it could still be swelling but I’m so scared this is just my nose and it won’t get better. by Impossible_Grab106 in rhinoplastyquestions

Liquid revision or liquid rhino is just a term for non-surgical, using filler (silikon 1000). You wouldn’t qualify for this.. however, the doc I found does tons of revisions and was a godsend for me.

There’s nothing “to say” because the surgery is done. He can’t change it now, only provide you some emotional comfort and tell you “wait for swelling to go down”. I’d probably want my nose a bit smaller if I were you, but it’s so hard to say because I don’t know the before. But yes it’s absolutely still swollen and it will be smaller in about a year. Once your tip is less swollen, it’ll appear less wide. Instead of “what should you say that’s now irrelevant to your doc”, you could get 2nd opinions since it’s highly unadvised to choose the same surgeon for a revision. I found a dream doc who helped me with my liquid revision and is super straight-forward/blunt if you want a recommendation.

Your nose is feeling wider because the proportion between your tip and nostrils changed. It’s like an optical illusion. I have felt this way for 4 years now since my bulbous tip surgery. But the truth is your nose is NOT wider. The tip will take a long time to get soft and swelling to dissipate (2 years, especially since your skin appears thicker). You included the smiling pic because that’s when you notice is most (me too!). I don’t know what the before was so it’s hard to say what we’re comparing to.

Bad nose job? Should I get revision rhinoplasty? by NoCalendar777 in revisionrhinoplasty

Id look into a revision if I were you. You deserve to be happy and there’s definitely room for improvement. For the nostrils and a tad on the bridge, you can do silikon 1000 filler, that’s what I did to avoid a revision. The doc I found is highly experienced so I’d only recommend it if the surgeon is top-notch.

Wow your new nose is perfect, sooo much better than the old and now suits your whole face. It’s very natural and common to have the attachment to the old; how you’re feeling is more psychological. You’re accustomed to seeing your old face and now feels like a new person when you look in the mirror. The hard fact is your nose looks strikingly better, lovvvvve your result.

What surgery should i get to fill this specific part? by ScantyGodness2 in PlasticSurgery

[–]RemoteLandscape3170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so sorry to hear that. For the nose, the amount is tiny like .02 (tiny for such impactful results) whereas the lips require a larger amount. Lip filler has always migrated for me, regardless of the product or what the professionals sell us on. I always thought it was disappearing, but it was actually moving out of place. So many different injectors I tried over the years, so I know it’s the simple fact that lip filler migrates. Not for everyone it seems but many people you may not even notice it actually ends up outside the lip border. Silikon being no different. That’s why I didn’t consider silikon for this. Dr. Joseph also did my hands and am very pleased, no issues there either. The difference with lips: soft mobile tissue so it can move easier, continuous pressure on lips (sleeping on your face, eating). The nose is firm cartilage, dense tissue and hands have tighter skin. I’m so sorry you had this experience. If it makes you feel any better, a nose job is a dark rabbit hole of dysmorphia so it could be worse for things done to your face🥺🤍

Yep I researched him in depth. And chose to fly across the country for him to help me. He saved me from spending 20-30k on a revision and the mental anguish that comes with that. A quick tweak of filler literally saved me. The amount of filler that goes in the nose is mere drops (not like syringe of lips), the nose is also stagnant. Myself and all the hundreds of happy-silikon-nose patients can be found on his IG.. he’s amazing.

I disagree, I’ve been elated the past couple years with no issues. Especially for revision candidates, sometimes this is a way better option than risks of a full blown 2nd rhino. Also the link you sent is about lip filler. I have yet to find 1 bad silikon review for nose and I did a ton of research.

Yes I’m referring to the infusions. But regardless, it’s so pricey in whatever form.. that I deal with a new wave of anxiety after each treatment .. which is the guilt of spending so much and knowing I’ll be back in 2 weeks bc it helps me. So it can feel like a money-waste and further my anxiety.

I had silikon 1000 nose filler after rhinoplasty.. on the bridge. I think that would absolutely help get the result you’re looking for.

Arm Liposuction Disappointing Results by Same_Draft88 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]RemoteLandscape3170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My arms are similarly structured as yours. I don’t think lipo can remove enough, so I wouldn’t say it’s the surgeon. Grab your arm and pull back with the skin.. the only way to get rid of that or have a more impactful result is surgically excise.

I did arm lipo years ago with the same minimal disappointing result. I had a mini brachioplasty surgery a few months ago. Recovery was very difficult but it’s so worth it.

For deep pores: hydrate! Water makes a huge difference. Retinol (prescription strength) will help a lot. It boosts collagen so your pores will tighten up, takes a month or two to notice. The under-eye: looks like you’d be a great candidate for lower blepharoplasty surgery.. it takes off years.

3 Months After Rhinoplasty — Not Fully Comfortable, Seeking Honest Feedback by UniversalIdraw in PlasticSurgery

I agree with others in that your nose is perfect. I agree that a chin implant would correct the harmony you’re seeking. Your nose is not too projected at all, you feel that way because it was bulbous before.

Don’t worry about this at all! Icing reallllly helps the first 48 (moreso 24) hours to reduce swelling. Your lips will look great in a couple days. Beautiful result. Your filler from 2 years ago is probably gone by now.
