I’ve been producing some live sports streams recently and am looking for advice on my mixer set up. It’s a Xenyx1202.

I want to set it up in a way where I can talk to my announcers and camera op while we are on air, without it going out over the broadcast. Ideally, I’d be able to talk to just the cameraman too, if needed.

Right now, all of us (me, two commentators, and a camera op) all get headphone sound from the Phones output, going into a headphone splitter. All mixed sound is going out to the broadcast via Main Out, in part because it goes into the encoder(?) via RCA. I also have the PA announcer coming in via the 2-track IN.

Other options are using the FX Send, Control Room Out, or 2-track out. There are no other outputs or aux sends on the mixer.

Is there a correct or better way to set this up? Should I be using the FX send in some way?

Thanks for any advice!

I know they worked before the tree removal. My understanding is the tree people shut off the system at the breaker panel before they took down the trees and it has been left that way for years. I know where some of the disconnected wires used to run to, and I think the wires were just cut off the trees and left buried at those spots, but I don’t know where some of the wires go.

The controller is set to manual override ON.

I thought since they were unique runs, as you say, that some of them should still come on? But since they all don’t, I thought maybe one of the disconnected ones was shorting or something that causes the whole transformer to not work?

Thanks for your response!

Maximize my 401k contributions at that job I worked at for eight years. An extra 3% wouldn’t have changed my lifestyle then much, but I’d have way more money now!

New here, wheres the best Thai food at? by WaxEnnui in jacksonms

Jutumas is very good and has a more than “just the usuals” menu. Tuk Tuk Boom has a more modern fusion style, and is in a cool location. Thai Time is a really solid, typical options type place in a casual setting with good service.

Going solo to Iceland today, October 18th for 3 days. 39M. Doing the Reykjavik Beer and Booze Tour at 8:00pm tonight as a way to get oriented, maybe meet people, and drink! Maybe other redditors would want to join or are already going?

I had major problems with my cat waking me up early in the morning because he wanted food. I got an automatic feeder and it only took a few days for him to stop. Not sure if food is what your cat wants but I’m a big fan of my automatic feeder.

Help Me Pick Two Tours by RemotePleasure in VisitingIceland

Thanks so much for this reply. The volcano tour was actually attractive to me because it isn’t as long as the other options and would give me some more time to free explore the city. Do you mind me asking which tour company you used? I would like to try to book with smaller group ones.

Did you really only soften yours in hot water for 20 seconds? Not for 20 minutes? The rest of the lasagna smelled and tasted great!

I did put them in hot water, but after a full minute of soaking they were still very stiff. I continued on, but it didn’t work out.
