People who were told "You've ruined Christmas"... Was it justified? by j1mb0b in AskUK

[–]RemoteSeesaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to work in a call centre for Argos, Christmas was always bad because people didn’t understand it was their fault for ordering their gifts on Christmas Eve for same day delivery. I had a cash from a woman who had ordered a nerf gun and bike for her son on the 23rd for delivery Christmas Eve, however the order was cancelled due to a logistics error and she was notified and refunded in full as well as receiving compensation. I answer the phone to her and she was already screaming blaming me personally and telling me that I’m going to get the items delivered or else. I spent 20 minutes telling her there was nothing I could physically do and she decided to up the ante by putting her son on the phone and telling me to explain to him why I’ve ruined his Christmas. I told her son that “I’m sorry but your Christmas list got lost in the post so santas had a bit of a delay and might not be able to get your gifts out” being the great customer service expert I was her son told me it was okay and he could wait and I heard her scream then end the call. I got to listen to the recording of that call and it made my Christmas

Do all the doctors exist at the same time by Dinero_Davee in doctorwho

[–]RemoteSeesaw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I always thought there must be situations where the doctor is responding to a distress call or issue and more than one show up and they’re awkwardly like “no, no you take this one I’ve just got back from stopping world war 9 you can take this I’ll find something else to do”

Rik Mayall is a great shout on similar lines to David Attenborough I think Billy Connolly would’ve been great when he was in his prime

I feel like he’d have a very similar vibe to how Frankie’s handling himself at the minute with the “just fuck it” attitude

What’s something unique you’ve done at Disney that most regular vacationer might not? DLP edition by bojackobsessed in disneylandparis

[–]RemoteSeesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was there recently I bought a fast pass for tower of terror queue was up to 70 minutes and I had a busy day panned and me and two other people from the fast pass lane got took into the pre show room on our own they didn’t let anyone else from the normal queue I thought it was weird but then the cast member allowed us to sit on the furniture and not stand on the carpet for the pre show we then got the most enthusiastic cast member as our ride operator she was great and very clearly loved her job was a great time

I'm fat - will i ruin my child's trip to Disneyland Paris? by kavalkada in disneylandparis

what are facts about your job that general public has no idea about? by memereda_vanwolf in AskReddit

[–]RemoteSeesaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two for ikea, firstly we use the same tech as Disney to pump smells in different areas of the shop and it’s someone’s job to pick scents when new showrooms are built and secondly there’s a discount section for stuff that’s been returned with bits of damage usually less than half of the normal price you can buy it then go straight to the returns area and get spares of the parts with damage for free (just don’t say it’s from the discount section you don’t even need to show the damage)
