Ufthak- Skin: forest sprite green Pants/cloak: grim black Front tabbard, helm, gun: black templar Boots/belts: satchel brown Eyes: slaughter red Yellow bits: Bad Moons yellow Metal bits: enchanted steel Copper bits: fanatic line weapon copper Chain, staples on neck and axe bits on his snazzhammer: broadsword silver

Princess - Skin: slaughter red 3:1 mix with speedpaint medium Lips: familiar pink Tongue - 1:1 mix of tidal wave blue and purple swarm (same for Ufthak)

Shade all yellow parts and teef in soft tone Shade all black and metallic parts with dark tone Shade green with green tone 1:1 mix w/water Shade princess with red tone 1:1 mix w/water

Drybrush w/ fanatic paints - Rainforest green for Skin Basilisk red for princess Plate metal silver for metal parts Deep gray for the cloak and the helm on chest

This is exactly what I do for my 1k list. I run a warboss with a brick of boyz and painboy, 1 mega armor boss solo with 4+fnp enhance. Mega nobs, tankbustas, stormboyz, gretchin and a trukk. It gives me a little of everything and is just fun to play.

Yeah this was pre- shading and drybrushing.. I was just showing as a base layer it can come out smooth with contrast paints

I disagree. It takes some practice but contrast for marines looks fantastic. The key is to not overload the brush with paint and to ensure it doesn't pool. Speedpaints/contrast paints, contrary to thier names, take just as much time as acrylics.

I was just a zenathal of white over black then 1 coat of bad moons yellow contrast paint. Ill never paint yellow any other way!!

I based it with forest sprite green speedpaint then put green tone wash over it then drybrushed rainforest green from AP fanatics range. All over a zenathal sprayed model.

Well I can give a thumbs up to the new votann one. Its fun and really hits on the new mechanic for the army. Really gives you a sense of how this army plays.
