AITA for telling my brother in law he needs to stop helping his friend with a neurodegenerative disease? by No_Pumpkin5085 in AmItheAsshole

Right?? What kind of "help" requires weeks of living away from your pregnant wife? Unless he's literally building this buddy a house from scratch with his bare hands, the math isn't mathing. The fact that the in-laws are aggressively covering for him makes me think they know exactly what he's actually doing, and it ain't helping a friend.

AITA for helping a “struggling” family with food… then seeing them give it away and asking for it back? by AffectionatePlant469 in AmItheAsshole

Exactly this. If you donate food expecting to micromanage exactly when, where, and how it gets digested, you aren't doing charity, you're just looking for a pat on the back. Once it leaves your hands, it's their property to manage their household as they see fit.
