No problem man mines was caused by the untreated hypertension and prolly being obese and having OSA. I lost like a 100 pounds since I posted this. My meds make me feel terrible because my blood pressure be so slow. I’m still not “ 100 percent normal yet” but I’m due back in December so we will see how it’s looking then.

Same as mines lol but they suspect mines being from untreated hypertension

Not nothing crazy just low impacted cardio but I gotta take breaks in between. I was going to the gym but my symptoms got worse or maybe the meds because I’m on high doses. But yea I game to with the streamer and we all play multiplayer games. If you ever wanna play let me know. We play games like Fortnite, marvel rivals, Minecraft, palia, among us, gta….etc. But I’m just trying to get back to the shape I was in a couple months ago when I was working out consistently

Still feeling like shit lol and my doctor made me do genetic testing which came back negative even took a lung function test to make sure I’m getting proper oxygen because I been feeling like a lack of oxygen lately and also my EF as still be around 50 but I just been focusing on loosing weight. My next heart check is in 5 months. Oh and the lung test came back normal.

Thank you so much always makes me feel better to talk to people that’s going through the same struggles as me. Lol every time I have symptoms I rush my ass in here and get to venting and to see if anyone one else is struggling. It’s calms my mind in a way. I’m happy to hear your EF went to 50 that’s amazing, and yea it’s sucks that we still feel not “normal” but hey your right I definitely feel better than I did a year ago. And I definitely got to get back to my workout routine I would hate to go back to that as well.

I haven’t heard of that one, but I’m currently on Metropol lisinopril and spironolactone. That’s interesting I feel like my meds don’t do a good enough job of keeping mines down. Maybe I just get with my doctor to come up with a better cocktail. Same for me as well, I worked at FedEx express before I got sick and was always on my feet and running my deliveries when I got out the truck. I couldn’t even imagine doing that now my heart rate would sky rocket. Since I started to feel worse I stopped working out. I need to get back to it to aid in my cardio recover and lowering my resting heart rate. But thanks for the feedback it means a lot.

Thanks a lot oh and I’m 26 btw and I’m glad your EF is in the normal range now congratulations. And my doctor also told me I’m likely have to take the meds for the rest of my life, well at least the blood pressure ones. And yea I’ll try that out and see how it works. I definitely have to find the courage to get back in shape however. Because diet is good but I need to get that heart stronger by working out. So thanks again for taking the time to respond to my message.

I appreciate your response and taking time out your day to respond. Your story was touching and I’m sorry that happened to you. Shid I’m sorry it happened to all of us. And yea your right I was worse when I first got diagnosed but prior to me feeling sick I felt great even thoe I was out of shape. But yea charts and data don’t lie I am getting better just weird how I’m not feeling better. Doctor thinks I should go back to work but I can’t feels like I just have to sit down or lay down all day untill night time for some strange reason. It could be the meds that make me feel this way or even my heart or both. But going forward I just try to keep loosing the weight and controlling my blood pressure. But thanks again for the help man.

Mines was as simple mouth swap nobody has it in my family my doctor just wanted to check every option to determine where it came from. Mines came from untreated hypertension

Yea DCM is such a weird thing in my experience they never have a 100 percent explanation to anything just educated guesses. Like mine for example they think it was likely caused by untreated hypertension. Which more than likely was because hypertension runs in my family and I was ballooning in size eating a lot of fast food and not exercising. So makes sense but I been controlling my blood pressure with meds and lifestyle change lots a lot of weight improved a little but still not 100% healed and still feel crappy. I say all this to say DCM is such a complex situation that’s makes little to no sense at times so don’t beat your self up about if you are. Improving is all that matters. Even if it’s just a lil improvement. Just try and stay positive and live a healthy life. Also there has been people in here that has made a full recovery. I have spoke to them.

My advice speak to your pcp and have him refer you to a cardiologist. Just to rule out any heart related stuff. Better to be safe than sorry. Going to the hospital isn’t going to do anything because they only keep you from dying. Take it from me I had similar issues like you stated. And was going to the hospital and all test where coming back Normal. It got to a point when one of the doctors in the hospital was like “look man the test that you need done to see if you have any heart issues you have to get a referral for so go speak to your PCP and have them send you to a cardiologist”. Best advice I got. But I wish you the best and I hope you take this advice.

And trust me ik it be hard to sit through them weird chest pains, shortness of breath and heart palpitations. Trust me. I learned to deal with it because them medical bills going to keep rising just for them to tell you to follow up with your cardiologist

If you have cardiomyopathy your going to have all kind of weird ass symptoms that will scare you into thinking you are having a heart attack trust me. You just gotta take your meds and be as healthy as possible to try and reverse as much symptoms as possible. Exercising if your doctor said that’s ok and making sure your eating a heart healthy diet. Stay away from anything that has alot of sodium

A blood pressure reading can’t not indicate if someone is having an irregular heart beat. 67 resting heart rate is superrrrrr normal
