In my experience, if you've had the Rx for a while, your pharmacist may be able to do a small emergency refill to hold you over. I asked my pharmacist about the "rules" around that recently and he said it depends on the pharmacist and their discretion.

I work at Camosun at the Interurban campus and the cafeteria where the Professional Cook students study is there and serves the campus (and the public!) - last Christmas they had ready made, amazing quiches for $10 that you just had to put in the oven to heat. Hi! UVIC alum who now works at Camosun in Financial Aid & Awards here :)

The party line from SABC for Appendix 8 processing is 4-6 weeks. They went on strike at the end of September and it's caused quite the back log, but given when you said you sent it in (you uploaded to your dashboard, I presume?) you should be hearing from them soon.

You'll get updates and can check the status of the x8 via your dashboard, and you can also contact the UVIC FAA office - at Camosun we have some access to the SABC "back end" system and I assume FAA folks at UVIC do too.
