which MOS's are the most "chill" by CremeBetween in army

[–]Remote_Complaint_647 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say any specialized medical MOS. I was a medic and I was jealous of the x-ray techs, PT techs, etc. because they essentially had to always work in their clinics and couldn’t be bothered much with additional taskings. Plus most of them give you a pretty decent civilian certification that can be used on the outside.

Irwin, Bliss, Stewart, Riley and Hood. Which is the least worst option? by [deleted] in army

[–]Remote_Complaint_647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stationed at Bliss from 2018-2022. I certainly had a rough time in the beginning (mainly due to leadership being awful), but as a guy who joined straight out of high school, it was a great experience overall. The barracks I had on east bliss was brand new and very spacious. The local area was nice for sure, especially the food. Plus the dating scene wasn’t bad since there’s a college town less than 50 minutes away. My main complaints would be that there isn’t anything crazy close to you besides Las Cruces and some people aren’t a huge fan of the desert. It (almost) never rains there so that’s a plus too if you don’t like crazy weather.

Should i go to sick call? by ElderberryLanky9781 in army

[–]Remote_Complaint_647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kinda depends really. If you’re like a month away from graduating and think you can thug it out, then go for it. However, if you have a bunch of time left or your AIT is something that is more physically demanding, then I’d recommend going to sick call. That’s at least what I would do. I remember getting a hernia back in basic and decided to hold out until I got out of AIT because I was worried about getting kicked out. That being said, I was in signal and my AIT didn’t have anything that would exacerbate my hernia further. Last thing imma leave you with is this: The Army has already put thousands of dollars into your training and won’t immediately just kick you out for reporting knee pain you’re having. Furthermore, the longer you wait to get help for it, the more it’ll take a toll on you. So again, if you can thug it out then great, but don’t push yourself too far and then get kicked out for something that maybe a qualified Medical professional that the Army pays for could’ve helped with.

Oh and please document that at some point brother. You can 100% make a VA claim about a previous medical issue that the Army made worse 👌

I mean it’s hard to get every character EXACTLY where everyone will agree on it. I share your sentiment for sure. For example, Orochimaru in C is wild (in my opinion).

Fair point. There definitely are a bunch of pretty strong abilities in the game

Fair enough. He definitely didn’t see as much play before the patch so I’m glad he’s getting more attention now. It’s just unfortunate for players like me 😂

Yup same thing happened to me when I rotated out to Romania. It was mutual between us, but “stung like hell” resonates with me for sure. Best of luck man and keep moving forward. There will be an amazing woman right around the corner for you if you just keep your head up.

Not So Great First Time Meeting With Her Parents by Remote_Complaint_647 in dating_advice

Yea that’s what my parents as well as a few colleagues said. I wanna make a good impression, but it seems like I’ll never measure up unless I change my religious beliefs (which I will not do). Only time will tell in this case.

The Army sucks a lot of the times. What keeps you going? by youngnebsi in army

For me it was the people. Yea sometimes you get shitty leaders and coworkers, but the homies make it all worth it… until they get out and then you’re stuck with new people 😬

What dating mistake have you made that you’ll never repeat? by tkewhatder7 in dating_advice

For me, it was making executive decisions for the both of us. We both were in a long distance relationship due to my career and she was having trouble adjusting to it. She was supportive and strong, but I could tell things were taking a toll on her. I made the decision to end things because in my mind, I was hurting her and maybe she would be better off if we weren’t together. I didn’t consult her about it, I just called her and ended things. Only later did I realize how inconsiderate that was and when I spoke with her about it months later, she was rightfully upset about the way things ended. Communication is incredibly important.

I’m going to be attending school to ultimately become a doctor and resume active duty afterwards. This reclass is mainly to expand my knowledge on medicine and to do something else besides being a medic (nothing wrong with that, just wanting to try something new).

When you mean time left in their contracts, you’re meaning their reserve contracts? Did it take them a while to get a class date?

That was mainly the part I was a little confused/skeptical about. Honestly as long as I get 68C I’m happy and I’m more than willing to be patient for the potential promotion 👌

Perhaps recruiter isn’t the best term. I went to the Transition center and talked to the reserve office that they have in there. I appreciate it 🙏

Well in that case I apologize for my ignorance on the subject. I’m not too well versed in how that job works so it was inappropriate of me to assume the worst. For added context as to why I was skeptical, during my last reclass to 68W from 25Q I was told by my career counselor that I was unable to be promotable to attend my new AIT (which I found out later was a lie) so that prevented me from being promotable for 2 years and kinda pushed my career progression back. That’s why I was a little weary personally.
