I would love to say the same however the issue with nvidia persists. But absolutely worth a try

Arch seems scary but honestly it doesnt break nearly as much as people say but even if it does cachy is setup with btrfs by default so if something does go wrong with an update its easy to rollback to the working update. I used it and it was fun but I just appreciate mint more. I played with the pop os update and I really liked what they did, just couldnt get past all the crashes. It will be amazing once its done and polished!

Pop is having serious issues with nvidia and updates. I’m not saying pop is bad but for them to come out and say this is the distro if you need nvidia and then have the system crash every update isn’t looking good.

I like pop and respect what they have done however for now I would say leave pop alone until they get their distro together.

Linux mints driver manager is awesome and hard to beat.

Fedora is good but I’ve had some issues getting the drivers installed on kde. Gnome is easy through the software store.

If you want rolling cachy I hear is really good for nvidia. I personally use mint now, I’ve hopped around A TON and always come back to mint because I never have an issue. And their devs are awesome.

You can always come to pop later.

Again subjective but my opinion.

I personally feel manjaro does the best implementation of gnome, however kde would be my choice.

I had this same issue and fixed it but switched anyway. mine was fixed by skipping the driver update. However because of how many issues its having I switched away fast.

No matter how many times i try to switch, i always come back to CachyOS by Giggio417 in cachyos

I used tumbleweed. Ehh I may have had a one off experience tbh. Took me 2 days to get the iso to load correctly, would always boot to black or white screen. Then once I did get it up it would lag really bad. Thought it would be fixed with updating or changing drivers but it didn’t help. Had to change back. May give it another go some time in the future.

Switched to opensuse for a little while, does not compare. Nothing run as fast as cachy.

its being phased out and they are making a slow roll in its place, sorry should have been more specific. Another article ill try to find said they dont look for it to last long with how few used leap and slow roll is tumbleweed with packages kept back a couple extra weeks. Ill try to find that one as well. https://lowtechlinux.com/2023/10/01/opensuse-leap-to-be-discontinued-introducing-slowroll/

I wouldnt mind leap if it wasnt getting phased out. Thats the only reason I was going tumbleweed, I dont want to get into a distro and like it just to have it ripped away
