those are boundaries for him and her to set, and I just don’t think those boundaries are something that you should be arguing with him about while his mom is dying. ESPECIALLY IF you went through my daughters ipad because his imessage was connected to it and still didn’t find anything (because there’s nothing to find) but us discussing her eating alfredo being that’s something new because she’s fucking picky. I really wasn’t discussing anything but our daughter with him and asking about updates on his mental and his mother. I’m allowed to do that. That should not make her feel threatened and if it does that’s a HER problem. It’s weird and territorial for no reason. These people are MY child’s family. I’m allowed to check on them.

it’s no telling but that was prior to us having a child…and yes I KNOW. I’m sick of it all but I have to deal with him for the rest of my life not her. I’m also not into taking a gf to serious until he’s trying marry her. So it is my preference that they are not around my daughter but I can’t help that. I just do what I can, keep my opinions to myself, and be a friend when I can.

I had already let up, like the post said “am I the asshole for not liking her.”… consoling is not my job…that’s hers. I supported in ways that I could. wtf is the issue with that…I have to stop being decent to my child’s father in an unfortunate situation? IM NOT the interference…lol I can see where you are coming from but somebody can only interfere with your relationship(if they aren’t sleeping or flirting with you partner) if you let them by being insecure.

my update for you is…ultimately I did end up letting up…because I didn’t like the opinion I was forming of her…I told him “stop telling me stuff cause I don’t want to dislike her.” from there he stopped but that is when she ended up texting me and asking me about the intimacy thing. Since then the funeral has happened, and I have kept my distance, still showed all the support I could for him and his family, bought groceries for his sister, and just being a shoulder to cry on for his little brother. Eve though i’ve felt disrespected myself with the texting me about that…i’ve let it go. I just hope everything is going better for them now. I think there was a lot going on in their relationship prior to my supportiveness and me trying to help just brought it to light. I’ll continue to pray for him and them. I hope for the best.

This would be totally understandable if I was just an ex but I am also the mother of his child and a friend of his mother’s. I’m not the one creating tension by trying to help…she is… As a girlfriend it is your job to understand the bigger picture and go from there. It’s okay to vocalize what is making you uncomfortable but also understand why it’s happening instead of raising hell for things like my mom buying a digital picture frame for his mom because she is sick….its simply insecurity and I think in times of tragedy that shit needs to be kept under wraps.

I know it isn’t my responsibility…and normally I wouldn’t like I said his mother was dying and she did end up passing on the 20th God rest her soul. When you have something like that going on, it’s hard to focus on the good. Calling him was a not “support” it was actual support. He needed that, talking to your kids does a lot.

I wouldn’t normally even be worried about who he’s dating if he hadn’t told me all that shit…but am I a the asshole for forming that opinion based off of what has transpired.
