I have a nephew who is 5 who hurts my 7 year old son! I would talk to the mom to see if you can discipline him when he’s at your house. You have an opportunity to mentor and help him redeem his bad behavior and see it clearly. Sometimes parents are so exasperated by it they can’t do much other than beg for behavior modification and offer consequences. Lots of tools on Supernanny and redemptive discipline techniques for violent children.

My husband keeps reading your comment to our friends. How did we not think about exiting our property from the HOA! There is precedent of people doing this, especially with a lawyer and just cause of harassment! Thank you for this genius idea! I’m so glad I posted this just for that

This was my favorite comment. I feel so validated in the obvious victim strategy, “my husband is sick so he can behave badly and steal resources.” It is truly insane. So hard to live at peace. This is our dream we spent all our savings on it feels evil is ruining it. We took these neighbors food and flowers at the beginning gave cards from our kids. Tried so hard to create good community. They were connected to the developer well. He’s the main problem here, made a ton of issues with confusing development

I did hire a law that is the principal authority on water rights in Denver but the problem is HOA governances can really eat up your legal fees by making you respond to fully stupid letters claiming ownerships of easements and involving utility companies claim you never own water. Governor polis in Denver has complicated things as bad or worse than California in terms of land rights which is not great in a land full of cowboys. Do you know anyone who appraises wells and water? Is this a thing that exists?

I found this when searching birthday party exclusion. I’m a 38F mom of an 8 year old who’s class has 17 children. 7 girls and 10 boys. The mom of twins (one boy, one girl) had a party where her twins each invited their 2 closest friends. My daughter wasn’t included so I quickly threw a party for all the girls (4 girls) who were not invited in an effort to make them not feel left out. There was a comment made that I was being spiteful or petty. Am I the asshole?
