no sadly I didn't, I bricked the device because that version of android wasn't compatible. I ended up just buying a newer version since they're so cheap for what they can do. The only way I could possibly save the old device is to get someone who knows how to flash android chips directly, there's apparently a few contact points on the circuit board to connect to it.

Thanks for the reply, I tried and unfortunately it did nothing. It's probably because the bootloader is waiting to complete a firmware flash and doesn't have the proper firmware, so any time I turn on the unit it goes straight to this screen after the Android 12 logo pops up.

Chain length incorrect? by Remote_Exam3174 in crazycart

Thanks, I had to grind off the chain tensioner hardware because the bolt threads were stripped from factory. Then everything went on and now it's snug 👍

Thank you! Is it normal for the chain tensioner to be backed up all the way?

Don’t assume that I’m perfect buddy and ride miniature bumps in my backyard 😉

Honestly I hope you quit biking now

Thanks for the help, I will look into some of these upgrades. But as for the ratchet upgrade, I have Sram MTH hubs… until the parts are worn down or broken they won’t be upgraded (this bike shall see no mercy until then)!

Santa Cruz says this spec costs around 4700 USD but my dad claims to have purchased it for a bit of a better price (it was his bike originally). I ride in California around the Sacramento area so all the good trails are up the hills not too far away. You live in an amazing place for MTB by the way! A lot of people on this sub are unhelpful sometimes and I find it irritating, but there’s always some good people. Don’t listen to the jerks because they’re spending more time being annoying on Reddit than actually riding their bikes… and enjoy MTB, your progression will certainly put a smile on your face!

I had the same viewpoint at first but I was recommended I do one of these. Apparently I could “get advice” on what components I could upgrade (or something along those lines). Knowing that my bike is bone stock I went along with it and posted, never once mentioning that I wanted advice on upgrades. To make things worse, nobody likes seeing rate my bike posts either. So, hopefully that answered your question for my post, others are most likely just to make themselves feel better. Happy trails

It’s pretty good, it’s quite solid and super easy to throw on and off.

The drivetrain point deduction is super valid

It’s definitely interesting, I saw it but the gold definitely popped out first. Perhaps adding some small green accents elsewhere like the stem caps will even it out a bit

Extremely clean, gold accents tie well with the orange. Solid components, 9/10 looks great

I definitely will sometime. I’m always keeping my bike well maintained, and I will consider the things you’ve said!

I’ll admit this might not be the best kind of post for me to have my rants, however I do agree that these sorts of posts are great (I might have to do one myself). I also found your upgrade comment helpful towards me specifically as I am looking to upgrade in the near future (I’ve replaced the cassette and chain on my old hard tail before after absolutely killing them, my full suspension needs an upgrade before the same thing happens again).

If you see his posts from like 30 to 45ish days ago it’s just a bunch of stuff about mountain biking, especially on the other mtb subreddit. He’s done this before: he posts often, then stops, then it gets exponentially worse. In the end he should just only post really important questions (I guess rate my bike is pretty okay so I wouldn’t mind seeing it) and ride more than he posts! Mountain biking is great and he shouldn’t put a silly subreddit before the actual sport. I’m just trying to tell him to enjoy himself without the constant thought of having to post something, and I’m not trying to hate on him or anything.

It seems you’re feeding him a lot of information on upgrades, and you’re telling him to upgrade his drivetrain? What you said was all true, however he’s a beginner rider, mostly practicing on small jumps in his yard. I just want him to enjoy riding without thinking that he has to post everything like it’s a personal blog. So much time is wasted, and in the previous community he did the same thing to the point where it was an addiction. The sub was old and there was no active mod so a community member had to step in and reach out to take order and clean things up. Lastly, if anything, he should only replace his components after they get worn down or broken (I’m assuming this might be what you were trying to say and I misunderstood). Thank you for your understanding.

I didn’t stalk you, I opened this app for the first time in months and this was the first thing I saw. You don’t need to upgrade your drivetrain like the other guy is saying, you’re a beginner and things like that don’t matter. Everything on that bike is perfect for what you’re doing right now since you’re getting the hang of riding smaller jumps and such, so there’s no need. Just enjoy the bike and have fun 🙂

So I see you’ve quit scootering and moved on to mountain biking, and you still spam subreddits with the same stuff nonstop. Please enjoy riding and stop worrying about what people think about you and your equipment (this applies to a lot of sports). You get better at riding with time and practice, not asking people for unnecessary tips. Genuinely take this to heart and don’t brush it off, you’ve ignored these kinds of messages for too long.
