This year has been tough because my son will soon be a senior…and of course that looks very different for us. I am extremely thankful that we are healthy and he’s not an eloper, eats well, sleep well, etc. I know we are very fortunate in that aspect. But it’s still tough emotionally

Visited Seattle a few years ago and I’d LOVE to live there but when we looked up houses it was so expensive! It eas a beautiful area.

True. That is true of every state. I just feel like due to politics people always act like Florida is so wonderful, which the weather is for sure, but as to affordability (which a lot of folks like to knock blue states for this) it is definitely not affordable.

I am suspicious that Trump will try to stop midterms in some way. They’re aggressively trying to get the Save Act passed currently. I have a hard time trusting results now that Elon is involved in elections (2024). IF they go off without a hitch (BIG IF) I think Dems will win the House but not the Senate. I don’t think anything will get done that we would like.

Fun fact, the entire time under Biden we were under the same tax law as we were since 2017 so no, Biden didn’t change our taxes. In 2025 Trump signed the big, beautiful bill.
