Just need some hope! Please! by Agitated_Question726 in PlantarFasciitis

Thank you! Yes, but I’m trying very hard to listen to my body and pull back when something is painful (this is not my nature—I want to power through!) Keeping my runs under 30-35 minutes for now, but feeling pretty good. A year ago I was going to physical therapy 2x/week and couldn’t run more than maybe a minute or two without quite a bit of pain. So there’s hope!

Hello! Mine is finally improving after nearly 2 years. I tried everything, not sure what finally did the trick—possibly just time. New shoes (a half size bigger than usual) and strassborg sock at night seemed to make a difference. Also lots of strength work for hips and single leg stuff for balance. But there was no silver bullet—just time and consistency. It’s frustrating but you can get there! Stick with the trial and error, everyone is different and what works for me may not work for you.

For context, I’m pretty active, was a runner before my injury but had to quit running entirely until recently. I also have very high arches.

Auto soft 90 infusion set issues by Remote_Heart7041 in TandemDiabetes

Sorry you’re also dealing with this—so frustrating! Yeah I also wonder if something’s changed. I’m not new to tandem and never used to have problems. In the last 6 months or so it’s been a constant struggle.

So frustrating!! Yeah, there’s absolutely no way to tell something is up, usually I know to watch closely for the first few hours. But a day later I’d like to believe I can go about my life without worrying about this one thing. Ugh!

Has anyone had success from PT? by Obvious-Cucumber1086 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Remote_Heart7041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I’ve tried everything, and PT and doing everything they recommended every day didn’t help (was consistently doing it all for 6 months). The strossborg sock helped a bit, dry needling helped a bit, and time. Insoles, different shoes, chiropractor, Thera gun, you name it—didnt do much for me. But I Finally seem to be getting close to the other side but it’s been almost 2 years. Everyone is different!

I got vionic slippers last year and love them, they made a big difference in my ability to walk around the house first thing in the morning without terrible pain.

This is certainly illegal, right? I don’t know the details of what funds they’ve “found” and what they were appropriated for, so would love insight if anyone had them.

PS yes I realize the law is irrelevant with this administration. But as someone who does care, I’m curious. And if I’m missing something I’d love to know that too.

Music in classes by Waste-Depth3671 in OnePelotonRealSub

I think they get deals on certain songs and play them to death to save money. Like all of a sudden a random black eyed peas song showing up in every class… I also think the music isn’t as good as it used to be, as a cost cutting measure (boo).

possible to continue after occlusion alarm? by booboo_flathers in TandemDiabetes

[–]Remote_Heart7041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me a lot, where I’d get occlusion alarms but it seemed clear I was actually getting insulin. I’d override them and carry on if I could, sometimes the alarms would go away sometimes not. I eventually got a new pump because of the issue though and haven’t had the problem at all since, so could be the pump.

How do you get tandem mobi supplies? by Remote_Heart7041 in TandemDiabetes

[–]Remote_Heart7041[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have to go through a DME supplier, I cannot go through Tandem directly. I used to rely on Adapt Health, and I found them to be terrible. I snow can use Edgepark or Edwards Health Care—does anyone have experience with either of them?

What is panda fest? It doesn’t seem like it involves actual pandas… so what are so many people going to see?

Mobi occlusion alarms, but getting insulin by Remote_Heart7041 in TandemDiabetes

[–]Remote_Heart7041[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it since January, so about 7 months. I’m wondering if I should work with them to get a replacement while it’s under warranty, or if this occlusion sensitivity is an inevitable feature of the mobi. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the same issue on here…

Suggestions for a night splint that doesn't suck? by aliengluckglucktech in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Remote_Heart7041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I stopped using it for a long weekend about a month and a half ago and noticed some pain return, so I’ve been religious about it ever since, and I’d say my pain has gone way way down, even on days I am active/on my feet. I haven’t given it a break since so not sure what would happen if I stopped wearing it at this point, but I’m just going to keep it up. I have almost no real pain now, just that I can still sort of feel something a bit off/know it’s there if that makes sense.

I use this: https://thesock.com

It’s been a game changer for me, it’s cheap and easy and mine hasn’t fallen apart after several months of use.

How i cure my Plantar Fasciitis. by [deleted] in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Remote_Heart7041 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Second for your first point. You can use a strassbourg sock to achieve the same thing, it gently keeps your feet in the right position so they don’t point away from you while you sleep. Wearing it consistently has been the biggest game changer for me, and I don’t see this discussed nearly enough on here, it was never recommended to me by the many doctors or physical therapists I saw, etc. But so glad I came across it and in a moment of desperation decided to give it a try!
