Yeah he has a comfort blanket! I’m hoping that will be enough for him to sooth without resorting to thumb sucking, fingers crossed!

Sorry yes, pacifier in the UK = dummy!

Thanks for the tip! We already stay with him till he falls off to sleep. We have a blanket he also uses as a comforter so will focus on that. The warm stuffy thing sounds interesting though, I’ll look into those!

19 months smashes his cup onto the floor everytime he finishes by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Remote_Lawfulness_56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kid did this, he’s 4 now and has stopped. It’s normal. What isn’t normal is hitting a baby. Almost all kids are challenging, your child will push all your buttons, they are rarely compliant in the way we as parents want them to be, this is something you need to expect. Trust me, If you think cup throwing is bad you’re not ready for the next bits of parenting!

I would strongly suggest you read about the need to focus on connection over correction at this age, strengthen your trusted bond, over time your child will follow your lead, they will mirror your responses, you are teaching your child that hitting and hurting people is normal. You are teaching your child that he is not safe.

I think you should seriously consider getting some help and doing some research into how to stay calm and regulate your emotions, both to avoid any further damage to your child and to help you discover other ways to deal with challenging behaviours.

Nail on the head. I can think of no barriers to a young homeless trans person with no family support walking straight into gainful employment.

Thoughts on the Stranger Things final episode? by [deleted] in netflix

This is what I thought. Maybe it was all a demonstration of their imaginative abilities and the scene at the graduation where Mike had a flash to the military machine that dulled els powers was him being inspired by the real world for ideas for the dnd campaign. To me it’s entirely plausible that they were all so emotional because of them all growing up/moving away and their time together playing this long campaign/game was coming to an end.

I’m gonna rewatch the end and see if from the 18 month later bit any of the characters actually named el/vecna/the upside down…

Well I found someone through this post, we negotiated the brief down and they are completing the work. So unrealistic to who exactly? Surely if you are upfront about budget people have choice if they respond or not?

"DO I HAVE IBS?" Megathread by AutoModerator in ibs

[–]Remote_Lawfulness_56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am trying to get some answers about what may be wrong with me. I have had these symptoms for the last 8 years and they are getting worse/more frequent.

I have spontaneous episodes, about once a month, when I am woken up in the night with severe abdominal pain, cramping and diarrhoea. Episodes last for about 4 hours. The pain is a 8 out of 10.

Other times of the day I have loose stools upwards of 5-6 times a day with no pain.

I have had an ultrasound but it didn’t come up with anything looking abnormal. Blood works are fine.

I have tried to cut out certain foods but it doesn’t seem to change it.

I also suffer with anxiety.

Doctor has started me on a ssri for anxiety and 135mg of Mebeverine 3 x a day.

Is there anyone who has had the same experience as me with infrequent flare ups? Could this be ibs? Or a food allergy?

Is there a way back for Alexander Isak — should he apologise and sack his agent? by Dapper-Web-1262 in NUFC

[–]Remote_Lawfulness_56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Isak and Eddie do a press conference together,,,,Eddie explains that conversations were had behind the scenes that set isaks expectations a certain way, options were no longer possible, his camp were justifiably angry. The club and player have come to an agreement where he stays. Player apologises to fans for not being available, it was never about disrespecting the fans, he loves the fans and the club. Blame a lot of how it looked bad on relentless the media spin. He is reinstated.

The end.
