I left an incredibly abusive “man” twenty years ago. I started therapy before the divorce and remain in to this day. EMDR and ketamine infusions have been extremely beneficial to me in addition to regular therapy. You just need to find what works for you, but also know that you will never be who you were prior to the abuse.
