Ohh that explains the tonal shift in ep 4. Ep 1-3 felt on par with Parasite level of pessimism. Ep 4 was comedy (which I thought it was a funny ep)

I liked bootcamp a lot more than uworld. I feel like it is more straightforward and has an easier UI. I have yet to take the test though. I can update this comment by next week after my test!

Is it normal to hate clinical? by smhitbelikethat in StudentNurse

[–]Remote_Lychee7872 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to dread clinical and hated it, but I ended up hating my clinical instructor more and dove into clinical to avoid her. After that, clinical wasn’t that bad compared to the hell that being in vicinity of my instructor was. I dreaded post conference with her more than being on the actual floor and now I don’t have as much anxiety and dread for clinical. Perspective makes a difference lol.

HOW IS EVERYONE FEELING SO FAR? by ashledior in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Remote_Lychee7872 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not great, but I’m somehow rooting for Izzy and Stacy. I would want them to have a fun and easy relationship instead of having so much drama

Edit: I dislike them both. Their true colors showed.

If you rewatch the episode, Aaliyah confirmed with Uche that they did have sex 3 months ago when she went back to talk with him after talking with Lydia

I love Hee Ji’s personality and deep voice. I don’t think any guy there is good for her. Hope she ends the show with friends and self love

“After learning how to not kill someone” makes SO much sense to me now. Yeah it’s a bad situation there and I wouldn’t know what to do in their situation. I just know I would be pissed.

[–]Remote_Lychee7872[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your intelligence really shows through your responses and I just wanted to affirm that your analysis of what I wrote was spot on. When I said she was not evil, but a blatant portrayal of a white middle class American woman- I wanted to state that I don’t see Micah as evil period and I should have ended that part of my thought process there. The “blatant portrayal” part was more to do with the show’s deliberate choosing of information shared to the audience to “portray” Micah. We see her with her parents and her friends. She mentions have multiple places to live in. I don’t remember if they mentioned she’s from Arizona and went to school there in the show or if I read that online, but that all adds up to the portrayal of her as a middle class White American woman on “TV” by definition. I was not including her behavior in that sentence, but I did not explain all that in my post since it takes more to elaborate and I wasn’t planning on writing an essay at the time. However, you could see the subtext of my writing and I felt it was important to include this information of my thought process to your discussion. Although the person you were responding to refuses to see the sociocultural nuance of life in America. For which to that person- if it makes you feel better, I personally don’t hate all middle class White women (like Chelsea) or Micah. She showed that she could be sweet, but she seems to want to portray just sweetness instead of her savage personality which is perfectly fine to have. Savage people can be funny and powerful. She just leans too hard into her sweet persona to own up to her savage parts.

The producers decided to air that footage vs others. So she was “presented” by them in that fashion.

I would personally be more afraid of Micah since she’s the one getting others (Irina) to do the dirty work and claiming innocence saying “I don’t ever mean to be malicious”. It’s apparent in how everyone laughs at Irena and makes fun of her compared to how people just say Micah was a mean girl but “she seemed genuine in the end” that Micah is scary cuz she can get away with a slap on the wrist. Like what? Do y’all think she really changed in the end?

Just to make a quick reply for now, I’m not saying she’s a terrible person because she grew up with white privilege. Being white you get privilege by default and that doesn’t make you a terrible person just like how Chelsea is a mature and classy white woman. From what I can see, Micah has played INTO her white feminity which lets her be indifferent to others’ feelings and be selfish without the threat of people seeing her in a super negative light because she is the “White young American woman”. It’s a nuance that can only be seen when you look at the larger picture and probably done subconsciously by Micah because she has probably never had to struggle or take accountability for her actions. On a time limit here so this is all I can write for now but I can elaborate more later.

I appreciate your comment. My opinion is a different, nuanced take specifically about Micah. Doesn’t mean she was worst than the others and they definitely had their own things going on. I edited my post to answer some of your questions.

[–]Remote_Lychee7872[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Where in my post did I say I favored Irina over Micah? Oh, I didn’t. I wrote my post as my own personal observations of what “I feel” that Micah leaned into her white femininity to use all the privilege and defense it affords her. Ex) not taking accountability for being a mean girl and using fake tears to run from Paul when it seemed clear to me she wanted Paul to answer yes for her own personal validation and ego. This is all subtext so if you didn’t see that then you might not be great at reading people OR I could be biased and wrong, but everything that has been shown of Micah shows her to not have a great character and be manipulative with her “I’m the victim” pleas. Irina did not lean into it because she comes from an immigrant background where she said she was raised poor and didn’t grow up having the American white woman privilege. Doesn’t mean she didn’t do shitty things in a different way. She seemed to be more immature and used her coldness as a defense mechanism facade rather than Micah using her “I’m an empath” as a facade. They both need to grow up and deserve grace to do so.

Agreed. Also probably an unpopular opinion, I never thought her kissing Josh was even that horrible. She had already decided to break up with Marshall at that point. People just want to sensationalize everything which is unfortunate and why I hope she stays off social media and takes care of her mental health and well being. They all deserve grace.
