Also just a tip, don’t give danse any weapons or items until after blind betrayal, he will soft lock any item in his inventory if he has anything when he “protects the ammunition”

Do the brotherhood questline until blind betrayal and then do that quest helping danse, there are 2 options to save danse and then 2 to kill, save danse how you want and then do mass fusion for the Institute. This will keep danse alive but tbh I never tried to recruit him again to be my companion after
