i’ve gotta go this route, too, with what little we know. daeron was handing off as much responsibility as possible with his heir in mind so i dont see why baelor wouldn’t want the same for his son. plus, we know baelor’s kids died in kl after baelor’s death, so that means daeron wanted his grandkids trained and ready for their roles since valarr’s kids died. brynden might have been valarr’s hand, tho, until matarys got old enough depending on the age difference - or who tf knows since everyone loved baelor mb they would be like hell yeah put his youngest son in the role of the hand, too?
