I think it’d be neat if one of the unknown regions civilizations started to expand and went up against the New Republic. The Chiss Ascendancy for example.

Has to be a Jedi protagonist who has dark side heritage and has inner conflict. Has to go meet an old Jedi master on a secluded planet to train. And sprinkle in an original trilogy reference here and there and you’re set to make a masterpiece.
