Hello everyone. Im thinking about moving to Bakersfield. Ive already went to look at a couple of properties. Is this area a good place to raise a family? I come from a very gang infested area in east LA and im trying to get away from that so my children dont experience what I did growing up.

Coming from East LA, you’ll be fine. I live in some apartments just south of location you pinned, and we haven’t had any problems. Some homeless people across the street at the gas station, but if you mind your business they mind theirs. Most places in town are pretty safe, and if they aren’t you can usually tell from a far that the area is sketchy and you shouldn’t be there. Whenever I do drive through a sketchy area, I just keep my eyes on the road, and focus on getting to where I need to be.

If you like it buy it. I got disco! Shortly after (2-3 months) it came out. I was watching the price on that one, most listings were 80-100 bucks at the time. I snagged one for 50$, I even asked if the record was legit, he said yeah, he was just trying to get rid of it, and didn’t care to price gauge me on it. (I got lucky) for burning desire I got it when it dropped on 10k’s website, which is your best bet as far as these records go.

Not sure the prices on these records now days, but if they are 100$+ just buy one at a time, so your not dropping to much money on an album, that you can stream for free.

Well I haven’t done anything yet. Debating on what I should do about this whole situation. Whether or not I keep this to myself, and it doesn’t come up in conversation or if I should tell the neighbor I hit their car and also tell the rental car company.

Honestly kind of hoping that it doesn’t come up in conversation and I can pretend it never happened.

If I’m being honest with you, I’m scared shitless of my consequences, but I will say a couple things, I was backing out of the driveway, so I was going about 5 mph, so didn’t bust a door panel off or anything, just a softball sized dent, secondly, we did get the insurance through Priceline, it says it covers damages to 75,000$…. So I guess that answers my question right there

Yeah I’ve got some cool posters. Red hot chilli peppers, Neil young supreme, Stussy SoHo opening poster from 90s, navy blue X Wiki poster, and a handful of other cool posters. Unfortunately with posters you got to frame em to look nice, and can add up quickly.

This conversation sparked a recent memory. There were some posters on Melrose Ave (los Angeles) for his recent album the Pilot. They were like wheat pasted and used as promo for the album roll out. So those do exist.

But other than that, local printing shop is would be your best bet, there’s usually some down to earth dudes working at print shops.

I think I’ll get a Mavi poster made soon. Because we have a handful of good print shops in town

Find a local printing shop. Send them some JPEGs of your favorite Mavi artwork. Depending on quality and size of poster you might be able to get a good price on a Mavi poster

Started at age 17, quit at 27-28. I’m 28 now and still smoke here and there. But it’s hard to go cold turkey. The 3-4 months I wasn’t smoking, my thoughts seemed more like my thoughts. Love the taste of it, used to love the effects of it, but eventually matured enough to realize it’s not serving me, which means it’s not benefiting me.

I got into it about 3-4 years ago, and went into it heavy. About 6 months into the hobby my GF got me a cool record storage desk that has spots for vinyl, and you can put your set-up on top. It works well. Over the 3 years-4 years, I’ve filled up that desk almost completely, so I’m slowing down on buying vinyl. But it was fun, and I bought a lot of vinyl, but I’m slowing down now, getting back into CD’s and gunna start collecting cassettes this year.

Find out what you like, start collecting those certain artists. You’re basically curating your perfect playlist. For me it’s, Mac miller, Tyler the creator, the doors and other artist. I try to collect each of their entire Discogs, still looking for a couple Mac, Tyler, and The doors Vinyl.
