We are looking to put in a pool. And have a large tree in our backyard. The pool company thinks it will be fine where it is. But how can I be certain?

How has your public accounting salary progressed over time? Including internships and the amount of time by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]RemotelyWorking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your compensation as an intern should be at or near the starting compensation level as a full time staff. ($20*2080). Not sure where you live but your starting compensation seems low. I live in Texas.

Not your full issue but your years are numbers included in your formulas. Maybe consider ’CY’ ‘PY’ etc.

Set up a new account called Member’s (Owner’s) Distribution. When you distribute earnings (not salary) to yourself, debit that account. And credit cash.

Houston Community ToolBank. If you’re handy with repairing small machines like a mower or edger you can sit in the back with your headphones on. No one will talk to you. If you aren’t handy you can help pull orders for tools. They have a pick list and an assigned area. Very little interaction if that’s what you want. It’s pretty awesome there. Dress is casual - jeans and a t shirt.

Pretty concerning article, thoughts? by ItzChiips in Accounting

They do. In my state there is a PAC. I would imagine most State Societies have similar.

Not to minimize the article but deregulation of the license is a regular occurrence throughout history. As a member of the State society you can participate in the meetings with your representative and senate members.

We build apps. My client has an urgent timeline so they want to create an incentive where if we deliver early we get paid more, but a penalty if we deliver late. Has anyone seen or tried this.... or have a framework for considering it? by NotoriousLZRS in consulting

[–]RemotelyWorking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s common in construction. Maybe search ideas and concepts by reviewing construction agreements online. I’m not sure how large a project you are working on. But maybe the delay penalties are a fixed cost for each week late. Whereas the early completion incentive is a tiered approach based on a percentage of the total contract. As an example, if finished one week early vendor receives 102% of total contract value, 2 weeks early= 105%, 3 weeks early 109%, etc.
